Good Afternoon,

I'm Eddie's Momma bka Lynn. I have made several friends here on N4M's..and thay have all been a Delite. My son's PIR was July 31 and it was Beautiful. All the young men and women looked beautiful and handsome. one young man by the name of Alex was in my sons DIV 937. I made friends with Alex's GF Brittany ans his Mother Tracy. Do any of you Mom's know how our Recruits did in Battle Stations ? I'm not really sure when it was to take place. I've been awaiting a phone call. We leave Wednesday night headed to Great Lakes. I hope Eddie will call our Cell phone. I sure do miss my boy.

My 1st. Letter from BC

Woo Hoo .... : ) ...

I got my letter from my Son today and I'm on Cloud Nine. lol ...It's been 25 days since he's left for BC. I was so happy when my 19 yr.old son woke me up...(Mom, We got letters from Eddie)...I bounced right out of the bed. I was so Happy . : )

Hi Shawns going for Gunners Mate and Yes Chicago is very cold and theres lots of snow there in the winter. Were do you live ? If Shawn cant come home Thanksgiving I plann on going there, see the parade and cook him and his buddys who cant get home Thanksgiving dinner. Shawn really wanted to come home for Labor Day but cant. He was on the uss enterprise but now that he's been moved I have no clue. Hope your doing good .

Lynn, I just wondered if you have heard anything about Brittany or Tracy yet. I know most of us don't come on the site as much after PIR but to not come on at all is really strange. I know Brittany said she would be posting pictures as soon as she could. It's funny (not funny haha) to be worried about somebody I've never even met but something just feels wrong.

thanks a lot. yeah for me its reall hard not hearing from him we spent everyday together and now i havent heard anything for him in like 2 weeks so its hard. but im expecting a call tuesday.
and then tracy and i leave thursday i cant wait, friday is going to take forever to get here.
so happy for you that you heard from eddie though, im glad theyre all doing good! thats good to hear. i hope the whole div passes.
do you know where eddie is going to be during graduation? since div 900's are performing? alex is going to be in some other hall with a bunch of admirals. hes excited about that

The Guernee Mills mall had EVERYTHING!! We only looked at half of it and were pooped. So far as the 6-Flags thing I wouldn't unless that is just your thing. If you are anything like me you won't want to take your eyes off him for a minute. We did the mall and had dinner but we also just hung out in our room some too. That gave him unwind time and us time to relax too. That way we didn't have to deal with the distractions of what public places have to offer. Our room had a DVD player in it and he rented a movie he had been wanting to see and he chilled and watched his movie one evening after we had been out to the mall that day. The next day we went to Lake Michigan just north of Great Lakes. There is a public beach there that is a state park. It is pretty nice. There is a beautiful harbor in Waukeegan where you can walk out to the light house. You can actually see Chicago off in the distance from there. It is really pretty with the sailboats and water. We did things on the cheap all weekend. I don't think we spent more than $100 for everything we did all weekend. Of course that doesn't count the cool Navy stuff momma bought from the NEX. The most expensive thing we did was have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in the mall. Really cool place- little pricey for us. The mall had everything from a Bass Pro Shop to a JC Penney outlet store. I am sure they have a website to look up the stores from. The stores in the mall don't open until 10 am however. We goofed off in the Bass Pro Shop until then. Congratulations and I know you will have a great time no matter what.

We have 10 days till Div 266 graduates and I cant wait. Shawn sounds good ans has gained 15 pounds and has gotten most improved recruit...LOL God knows that boy needed improvment in some areas.LOL.But he's my baby and I love him know matter what. He has gas rm today and Battle Stations 2 days before graduation. pray for all our kids...Lynn
