Then you're doing what you're meant to do! I know your mom must be as proud as the rest of us Corpsman moms. Is she on here too? Hopefully we didn't scare her away from our Corpsman Moms group. We can be a rowdy, crazy bunch of old ladies. LOL But...

I am a Navy Corpsman

I am a navy corpsman. I possess the stamina and enthusiasm of youth and the wisdom and experience of an old man.

I am 3 parts doctor, 1 part nurse, 2 parts marine, 1 part yeoman and 3 parts mom, yet I am 100% sailor.

I am unemployable to the civilian world in my given profession yet have been the very life line for countless marines, soldiers and sailors since 1778.

I have carried marines from the battle field ... and have ben carried reverently myself by marines who mourned my passing like t… Continue

Yo Edgar, You must be taking care of business as I have not seen you on chat getting mobbed by mothers lately. lol. I hope things are going your way. I sure appreciated the time and patience you took with me and my fellow Navy Moms. You have a very important job and I am sure you are great at it too. Thank you for serving our Country and looking out for all of our loved ones!

I liked the license plate tag frame I saw online - Navy Medicine, Best Care Anytime, Anywhere!!

See you are in the chat right now, helping the Mom's understand what is what!! Guessing the recruiters don't fill in the blanks very well - good thing you are Mr. PR!!

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Wis, then U of MN for undergrad and wound up in Okla for law school - never had been to Okla and didn't know anyone here at the time - a shot in the dark!

Catch you later! Need to re-write that Offensive Play Book!! Lane sure has gotten a kick out of my self-declared coaching position.

Keep in touch as time permits. I'm always busy running the frat house Lane lives in (SAE at U of OK), taking on coaching the offense at OU (after the game against Miami), and keeping up with the med students in Alana's group!! Not really, but Lane has told me he "signed me up" to be the next SAE House Mom, figure I could whip that offense into shape, given the opportunity, and I try to support Alana's friends. I actually practice law and that does keep me occupied!

The only group I joined is the Mom's who have a sailor at Tinker AFB in OKC. Although Alana is not stationed there or ever needs to go there, figured I might be of help to a worried Mom with a son/daughter at Tinker for some local insight as to non-Navy issues. Based on the general chatter in the chat group, there are plenty of worried Moms - thinking their child has not been away from home before.

What did you do before Navy? Get the impression you have not been in too long and are 30.

Safe travel!!

to vent, cry, laugh and brag.
Please feel free to reply to one of our discussions

Questions about DEP are most definitely welcome.
A question that you have may be a question that someone else has
but just hasn’t ask yet.
What we don’t know we will find out!

I am enlisting as HMDA. I am nervous, but I think I am more excited than nervous. Which I think is a good thing. But, I will probably be more nervous the closer it gets.

I just wanted to say hello to a fellow "Depper." I see that you leave for BC in April, well I leave on March 24. I am so ready to go. I have been in the DEP Pool for the last 10 months. Good luck with everything and hope to talk to you soon.
