Oklahoma City Navy Week - Habitat For Humanity at Oklahoma City

The Navy is asking for 10-15 N4M members to help take part in this community effort as part of OKC Navy Week. You would be working alongside Navy sailors!

Hi MA Moms :) My daughter is a reservist and starts MA school May 4 at Dam Neck in VA, her PIR was 4-17-09. I am glad I found this site you all are so nice. Hope to talk soon and learn all about being a MA :)
A group for moms of "Master At Arms" sailors.
It was great meeting everyone. We got home from the GL last night. I wish we had more time with Shannon but it was the best five hours we ever had. All our Sailors looked great!! Congrats to everyone :)

Just got off the phone with Shannon div 158 and she said they won Captains Cup and thats why they got to call home again. She said Taco Bell tasted so good!!!! It was great hearing her voice again. She sounded more rested than the last time. I can...

- Hi Elaine! I saw on the MAA Mom's Group you said that your daughter recently started A-school in Dam Neck. My fiance just called last night and said his orders have been changed from TX to VA (he is also a reservist). I would love to hear how things are going for you, especially communication wise. He will be heading there after PIR 5/8/09, but said he will be on a 2 week hold once he gets there. I'm so excited! He will be only a 5 hour drive away, and I hope I will be able to visit him on weekends :)

Stacy (Joshua, AG-Atsugi, Japan) said… - Yeah, Joshua thought there was about 64 left. Who knows, huh? Even at 64-67 it's hard to count them all. lol. I also thought it was 'odd' that we seemed to be the only two moms on here from Div 158.
Another mom said that one of the guys that just got sent back was her son's rack-mate. They were going to the same A School and had planned to 'go through it together'. Very sad, indeed, esp for their families so close to PIR.
Can't wait to meet you 'in person' Thursday night!

- Matt goes to BS on Monday night. We leave for Chicago Th eve. around 6:30 p.m. When do you all leave. So glad your daughter has BS behind her:) Matt will go to Fl for A school. Hope to see you soon.

- Yep, he called!! Got to talk about 40 minutes. He was really enjoying Ricky Heaven as well. Great reward for winning Captain's Cup! He said he ate 10 Taco Bell tacos and a pizza!! LOL He also got on the computer and listened to some music, posted some comments on his (and our) MySpace pages, etc. This is really the very first time since before he left that he sounded rested, full-charged, and happy. I can't wait to see him now!!

- Yes we are headed down TH evening. I am planning to go to Flanagans TH night. Cannot believe I didn't notice you were from Olathe! Everyone else is so far away. OK, maybe my son and your daughter can get together LOL. Matt went in on Feb 23rd and his div. was a push. Hopefully I'll get to meet you. Where does your daughter go to A school Matt goes to Florida.

- I didn't get a letter yesterday... a letter came, but it was for his girlfriend Emily. Don't know what's going on as of late. The letter I got Wednesday didn't say anything... basically just "since we just talked on Saturday, there's not much to tell" kind of thing. I guess there wouldn't be since we talked late Saturday afternoon and he wrote Sunday.
Yep, we'll be on a plane two weeks from this Thursday. I'm never happy to have Mondays come, but right now I need them to get here and get over with quick, so the day of our trip will get here. I can't wait!
