i just read the custom's forms and you are referring to Box #10, sorry. On the new forms, there isn't much room to put the Detailed Description. When you have more than 4 items, how do you detail. One of the postal clerks told me that that column ...

I don't think that any box should be addressed to "Any Soldier, Sailor, Champlain", they must thave a solidier/sailors name on them. That is always what I have heard, unless something else has changed. I believe that is even the Post Office's rule...

Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
We’re distant, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

I had something going on at the time and it was urgent.Believe me I stop and talk to the Moms aor any Sailor at a moments notice. It's a nice perk of my job when I'm not very busy. I hope you had a nice visit. My son called me today from over there. His leave is coming closer. He says it will be like for a month. I guess he gets extra since he is in combat. I will never complain about N.C again. It is alot closer than the Middle East. I hope you have a nice Easter weekend. I hope for nice weather too.

Did I see you at the Boise airport today? I work there at an airline. Usually we are there for hellos or goodbyes. You looked preoccupied as was I. I'm still a bit shook up from my sons close call over there.Looking forward to our next gathering. I hope you can make it...

Elna,
that is about the time my son went to the IKE, so will he need to go to the Prototype school in the future? My son has been in almost three years (has reenlisted) and it still seems very new to me. The unknown (not talking about) I've gotten use to although it still isn't easy, you'r so very proud of them and want to let friends & family know but it is more impotant to keep them safe. I still remember the long sliences when I use to ask my army son (Nightstalker) where he was... Now I try not to think about it and I don't ask...I tell them when they get a minute to gaze at the moon and realize I see the same one...we really aren't that far away, at least it seems to help me

Hi Elna and welcome to Nuke Moms. John is a Navy Chaplain who used to be stationed in Goose Creek. I don't remember where he is now but he's full of information :)

It was nice meeting you also. My boys know their mom and they bring the uniforms home when they come. Greg will be home for Christmas - first time in five years - unsure yet about Richard. If they are both home, it's the first time they have been together since Richard went in in 2006. Maybe suggest to your son to have someone take his pic when he is in his uniforms and them have him send them too you. That's how I get Greg's pics.

Please thank Matthew for his service and thank you for your son and your service! Don't take it personnally, much of it can not be talked about and what can be...well unless you are a Nuke or an extreme engineer...doesn't make any sense to the rest of us. Welcome aboard!
Like you I have one son Andrew...who is now on the east coast and he also does not talk much about what he actually does.

Hi Elna, Thank you for your welcome. Matt was on a nice carrier. How does he like teaching? Does he do alot in NY? My son Patrick just started prototype school on Nov 3 rd. They have classes for 6 weeks I think. So far he likes it. He has a nice furnished house with 3 buddies. And so far so good. I am a little worried about how much snow they will get. Patrick was raised in Arizona. No snow. Another adventure. I stopped working in July. I turned 62. no more working. Now I need to figure out what to do. Does Matt get to come home for the holidays? Patrick won't. I would love to get up there at the end of march. My daughter lives in Columbus, Ohio. A 8 hr drive. Thanks again, Laura
