About me:
i went to bootcamp twice. i was discharged the first time but didn't give up and joined again and made it through. i went to great lakes and completed BECC (Basic Engineering Common Core) then moved on to HT "A" School. I'm noe in the Fleet stationed on my first ship the USS Peleliu (LAH-5) on Naval Base San Diego. If you have any questions ask, i'm here to represent the sailor side of things.

Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
don't trust anyone to do it for you. take it upon yourself to everything you can to make your life better and the navy will "award" you for it lol
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

yes an officer would be better than just enlisting unless that's what she wants to do. it's two different worlds. but have her talk to the one for the college grads first.

Thanks for the welcome. And yes i was on the Peleliu during their last deployment. i joined them the first time they pulled into Bahrain which was about the end of June-ish.

My daughter Kim likes it, but is so bored, since her ship is docked. She hasn't been out to sea yet. All she has been so far is Chicago and Virginia.

How are you doing?
I want to thank you for serving our country!
How long are in the Navy now?
That's wonderful for you to volunteer information. I've been writting 9 months now, steady and have learned things along the way.
But, every now and then I do get stumped with a question from a new mom. Can I put you down as friend, and ask you questions, from time to time?
I would deeply appreciate it. It doesn't happen often but sometimes I don't know the answer to a certain question.

My daughter Kim is new, she graduated Boot Camp last June. SHe's in Virginia on the USS Normandy, which is still docked.

I hope to hear from you again.
