I have twins and live in Ouray CO.  First twin just went on Nov 6th. His twin goes in April and has a contract for nuke.  After A school he is hoping for Hawaii.  Would be good to hear from you more on what he will be going through in a few months.  After BC he will be in Charleston, SC for A school.

Sounds like a plan - I'll contact you when we get back.  Very excited to actually talk to someone else with ties to the Navy - website is great but I'm excited to meet with you and some other Colorado moms.  Also can't wait to hear about your sons adventures so far with the Navy - Hawaii doesn't sound like such a bad place to get stationed!
Hope you and your son have a great time in Telluride - sounds like fun!  Thanks for the tips about PIR - I watched some youtube videos last nite and cried  every time the door opens and at the liberty calls - just thinking about it I tear up :)
Enjoy the great weather - hope it holds up a little  longer.  Caryn

Hi, My sailor has been in Hawaii since July of 2011.  He loves it!!!  He just called me today.  The U.S.S. Bremerton just got back to HI a couple of days ago.  I think he'll be down and under real soon again, maybe but then what does a Mom know for sure......?????

His two older brothers were both in the Navy.  They've both been out for awhile now. The older one was in subs too.

I've not met another Mom who has a sailor on the U.S.S. Bremerton.......darn.

Yes, it sure was great. Now that we have talked to our Sailors it makes me that much more anxious to see them. I got an email last night telling me he didn't get a chance to get his flight so could I look into it and get it for him. Thats just fine with me This way I'll know for sure that he will be home.

I bet I will have to do the same for my daughter, she will just be getting to a new command in Nov. So I was surprised that she would be able to come home. But some how the stars are alined this year.

Aaron didn't mention where he stayed just that it was a really nice hotel. I don't think there are to many nice hotels there so I bet it was the Hilton.

Gail,

It's Wendy from USS Columbia. I'm not sure how to do it or invite you as a friend but I tried.  I can send you what I have regarding sending a package. I don't know if anyone responded yet to your request.

HI Gail,

Good to hear from you.  Just got a call from Aaron this morning.  The cardiologist has decided their is nothing wrong with his heart - whoo-hoo good news.  They believe he has torn or strained a muscle in his chest wall that will just take time to heal.  They did tell him to lose some weight and cut his cholesterol.  Something I have been trying to say nicely - so maybe he will listen to the dr.  I think he will have trouble passing his next PFA if he doesn't.  Aaron did not pass the one part of the 50% test he had to retake, so now he has to go to an oral board.  Very scary!  He was explaining all the possible options and there is only one good one - so that is what I'm praying for.  No news about when the oral board will happen, most likely after the holidays.

Thanks again for checking.  So glad you got to enjoy Eric for your birthday!  Have a wonderful Christmas.  It is going to be so hard without our baby boys!!!  But I am going to call up all the pride I have in him to help get thru the holiday!

Hugs back at you!

Terry

Don't know if Eric told you, but Matt and Chelsea have a beautiful daughter. I flew up and was there for the birth and stayed for a week. David, Matt's dad drove up on Thrusday and we drove home together Sunday. I am flying back with my mother-in-law on December the 10th. Not sure how to get photos on this website, but I'll try. I can send to your email. I believe I might have it. I'll look for that too.
