Jessica must be so frustrated having to be in ttrack so long! I wonder if her recruiter can help her out with clearance. Have they told her what's holding it up so she can at least put effort into clearing the issue up?
I hear the other moms talking about how stressed out their kids are in school at GC. I just spoke with my son and he's doing just fine - says he not too stressed out. Yes, a lot of information is crammed into a short amount of time but it's not incredibly difficult material to learn. Jim scored very high on his ASFAB so maybe he's really smart so it's easier for him. If Jessica also scored high she won't have so much trouble as the others.
Jim didn't do so well in college. As he put it, he was a "slacker". Now that he's learned how to study well he believes he would ace college classes. Did Jessica go to college before entering the Navy? I appreciate the way these young people become responsible young adults. It'll make such a difference for their future success in life after the Navy too.

Hi Gaye. My son started power school at Goose Creek this week. I wonder if they are in the same class and if they know each other. When did you daughter start power school?

Ohh that is a service flag
it is called a blue star flag this tells that you have someone in the military serving active duty. this was first used I belive in WWI to indicate that you had someone serving and if (god forbid) they die then you get a gold star to go over the blue one that signifies died in service. It is an honor to have one and a wonderful mom here sent it to me as I did not have one.

Yes I am very proud of all of my boys and Jacob well that was just a gerat thing this will be good when he goes to get his next rank as this is looked at when you want to move up in rank

hope all is well with all fo you and so glad that you were not in that bad bad weather that we had yesterday

Dear Gaye,
I'm happy to hear form you. The bad weather past us. Only two nights ago we had a big thunderstorm. I was afraid the lights were going to go out, they kept flickering.
That sounds great about Jessica's schools, I wish her all the best.
We're finally up to A School. Kim graduated two months ago, and just startded A School two weeks ago. She's going to be an Operational Specialist, in other words, she'll be reading the radar. I sure hope she likes it. If it were me, I'd be nodding off to sleep, staring at that screen !! HA HA !!
I guess that's it. Nothing really exciting. Please keep in touch.
You take care and God bless.
Barbara
