About me:
We live on the western side of KC, KS. I love my job as a surgical nurse. We have a son who is a police officer and a daughter about to graduate high school. I have two step sons, a lawyer and a doctor and 4 adorable grandchildren. I love summer and working in the yard.

Thanks for the return comment. We should find out when Brad leaves for Bootcamp within the next week or two. We're getting tired of waiting. He has to see another eye MD because at MEPS the doc there was concerned about the health of his eye so now he has to go back to MEPS. There is only one eye doc that can see him at MEPS thus the long wait. It sounds like Tyler has some challenging days ahead of him. I'm sure you all will be glad when A school is over with. Hi Gaylene, I noticed that your son is going to be a Nuclear Tech. my son is interested in that. He has not gone to Great Lakes yet, will be leaving soon we hope. How does your son like the Nuclear program? Is it challenging? How much security clearance did he need? How was boot camp for Tyler? My son is really anxious about that. Jessica

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

dear gaylene, welcome to our group hope you enjoy it as much as i have.we are kinda neighbors i live west of kck in a small town caled edwardsville.my so Tim is our Saior..he is on deployment right now and has been a Salor for about a year and a half...he is stationed in virginia where he and his wife live...wel again welcome to the group....judy...
