Hi! My husband is in Bootcamp now and he will be staying in GL for Advanced Electronics or something. Do you know how long A school is? How much studying do they have to do? Do you know what his schedule is like? How often do you talk to him? Hope your son is doing well.

I think we stayed at the same place for PIR--the Residence Inn? Anyway, I have a few pictures of the 055 at PIR and a few of them that I took on Sunday morning while they were marching. (I didn't know we weren't supposed to take those until someone told me). If you could tell me how to upload them, I would be happy to share what I have. My camera did not work very well at PIR so some of them are grainy and dark. Joyia

The graduation packet just had a parking pass for base and an informal invitation to graduation with all the rules and the list of names that the recruit put on there for their 4 guests. I also had the adoption papers for Christmas in mine. Also had a brochure for all the hotels in the area.

DIV 55 Battlestations is complete. I received the "I'm a Sailor" phone call about 1 hour ago. Hope you are able to get the phone call "live" from Brandon while you are still on the ground. See you soon.

Yes, my daughter is in Div 055. I'm a retired Senior Chief and my son is due to leave for boot camp in the new year. We're definitely a Navy family.

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
that they will make it through bootcamp and they will be just fine! It will end up being one of their very best memories to look back on and be proud that they made it through!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer
