OK, I'm new here and I just have a couple of questions. It seems like you already have the stockings and you are asking us to send things that the stockings can be stuffed with, right? Also, I'm wondering where to find the address, and finally I'm...

OK, I'm new here and this is possibly a stupid question because I just haven't looked hard enough, but please help me find a way to adopt someone. Thanks!

As a group, we would like to adopt a group of sailors and send letters and/or packages. I think we N4M could make a big difference in some sailors lives if all of us would just write one letter (you can do more if you want)

Does anyone in here have a loved one in NY that isn't going to get to come home for Thanksgiving? Please let me know if you have someone who is here in NY. Maybe I can help in some way. God Bless our young heroes!!!!

OK, maybe I'm asking a stupid question, but my son thinks that in order to come home for Christmas, he will have to take most of his "leave" and won't get any more for after graduating A school. I've seen so many on here that talk about their kids...

My son just left for BC on May 26th. Anyone else?

Help! I'm just crying and crying. I am so proud and so happy for him, but I'm just so sad. I'd love to talk to others who have loved ones in BC right now. God bless our young heros!

Hi Gini, Thanks for the friend invite. My son, Steve, just told us that he expects to get a new room mate and suite mates real soon. His roommate graduated from A school awhile back. He's only got about 6 weeks left before he graduates himself. Then he gets to come home for a bit, first time since graduating BC, Easter weekend. We got to visit him for his B-day the July 4th weekend. It'll be great to see him again.

I don't know that jaecyn and your son will be in any of the same classes since he started monday and jaecyn doesn't start for a while yet. i'm not exactly sure what she's doing right now and she didn't either, when she called the other day. indoctrination or something, maybe you can shed some light on this. well, better start my day. God Bless you and yours.

Also, I sent about 6 pair of shorts, boxers, 6 shirts, 2 pair of jeans, belt, slaps, 2 pair of sneakers, socks, and some snack items: beef jerky, and 4 boxes of breakfast bars and Oreos along with a box of LG ziplock baggies to keep it all fresh. He bought a cell phone and lap top when he got there. Later, he bought a pair of shorts and a swim suit as they have a beach nearby. : ) I wish I would have also sent a beach towel and sun screen! (tip for you). Let me know how you are doing!

Hi Gini! Is your son Nuke school now? My son has been in the school for a week now. It is an intense program and I know he had his first test today. I haven't heard from him as to how he did yet. SEnd his clothes and/or snacks UPS. It is the best bet. He got it in 3 days. They get a slip that tells them they have a package. I tried the "flat rate" thing I heard about here for military. The largest for $13 was the size of large shoebox. What could you put in that? So, UPS. medium sized box that I paid for from a pack and ship place was like $28 as it was 28 pounds and they put his stuff in there for me and did all the work. Good deal overall, if you ask me....DONE! Good luck!

Gini, I accepted your request. We will be linked at the hip for like a year and a half now!!!! The Nuke program is intense but they can do it! Thank goodness our sons have "direction" and a promising future (that we don't have to be the nag about). Now the chiefs can bare that burden. LOL
