Thank you for the great information and detailed description of Nuke Schooling, Chris. It helps so much to know what our sailors are going through at the differerent stages of their training..

Robert and 4 friends drove up for the Panthers/Redskins game in Charlotte on Saturday. My husband and I drove down to Charlotte and got to meet them. We were so impressed by them. If any of them are your sailors, you should be very proud. Robert's...

I hope all our sailors did well on their inspections and physical tests. I haven't heard anything yet and I know they are studying for their first test which I think is today.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I learned to trust my son's decision to join the Navy. My son researched all the services thoroughly. He decided the Navy offered him not only the opportunity to serve his country but also that the Navy was far ahead of the other military services in state of the art technology and equipment.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Ginny, since you will be sending 50 bags I will have your gifts sent to the Operations Dept. All packages should be mailed no later than Nov 18th. I have the address I just need to double check on the contact person, on the ship, who we will be sending the gifts to. On teh outside of the package just write OPERATIONS Dept somewhere so he'll know which dept it is to go to. As soon as I check the name again, I'll send it to you.

Ginny,
Hi! Aaron's A school graduation was 8-7-09. We weren't able to make it to that graduation. Aaron was leaving immediately after for Springfield, IL to get married. Wedding was 8-15. We met him there. When did Robert finish A school?

Hi, I posted a blog last month regarding our sending holiday cheer to the Nimitz Strike Group. If you're still interested in helping, please let me know what you would like to send. Most are sending stockings w/ candy or goodie bags w/ treats from home. Thanks, Pat

We will be there! I will be there before my husband I am sure since he is coming from work in Statesville and I am coming from Welcome. I went onto Navydads Website and put out a Meet and Greet for tonight at the VT so we could have more people showing up. I did not realize it was a dinner date but that is ok. I am more into the socializing with everyone than eating a big meal. LOL

Hi Ginny,

I will be there close to 6pm. My husband will also be arriving then from the Race Shop in Statesville. We will be taking separate vehicles since it would be senseless for him to drive home to Welcome first. he will be the good looking guy with the Navy Veteran hat on!! I have blond hair and will be wearing my Navy Moms shirt!
