Hi Gloria , Thank u 4 accepting my friendship u no I'ts hard when your child leaves home to go to serve his tour u feel like a piece of u has left with him I myself struggled for months until God said enough my child,I got busy Working in my Ministry and To God be the Glory My Ministry din't suffer I 've taken on more responsibility I'm the President of a Ministry that I formed with my Church Auxuially, My husband and a couple of my family members we have feed over 600 homeless souls. it is truly a blessing to be doing God's work. Because he get's all the Glory, yes my son Richie is a cook he also sings for the Navy like whenevr they need some1 ---2 sing the National Anthem it's usually richie. I really didn't think he make it in the Navy because he smiled all the time. 24/7 he said the recuriter told him he need to wipe that smile up off his face and be hard. he was angry for months because he left home being our Pastors Armourbearer and he sung in the choir and he was a missionary at heart, so it was hard for him to try to be one way when all his life he was taught Joy and happiness ..How old is your son? do you have other children was it hard for you when your Son left. my 14 year old daughter literally had 2 be pick-up off ground.how did you response to him leaving? .I cover him with the blood of Jesus and that was the end of me letting Go. I prayed but never gave it to God...I plead blood all day and night Read (psalms 91 Psalms of Protection) if you don't already.... don't 4-get 2 lite your blue candle from 3/18 til 4/1/ i only do it for 1-hour. God Bless you Jennifer

Hi Gloria, it's not my son....well kinda ....I adopted him at PIR! It's my son's best friend. He is still in A-school, but sounds like he will be headed there in March sometime for IT. He is such a great kid. His brother and him went through boot camp at the same time! Thanks for the welcome. :-) Staci

My son made it back just fine. MEPS went well for him. He had a really long day yesterday. We picked him up last night at the recuiters and, we all talked there for awhile. Monday or tuesday we will be able to talk to his recuiter alot more so, more of my many questions will be answered. My son is going to be a Hull Tech. He found out that he can be an advanced Hull Tech. His recutier wasen't sure what the advanced part of his job ment but, he was going to look into to it for us and let us know we we see him next week. If anyone knows what the advanced Ht is please let me know. Thank you. All I know so fare is that after he graduates in June 2009 he will be leaving for boot camp Oct. 7th, 2009. So we have lots of time to help him get ready.

Oh, I feel that. Garry wants to be with you but there isn't enough time. 2 and half weeks isn't long at all.--not to mention the cost of travel. The last time Cole was home he spent most of his time with his friends. I was like that with my parents when I moved away from home. That changed as I got older. I'm certain Garry feels torn between his 2 families. Unfortunately, you are getting the brunt of the bad situataion--like moms usually do. Hang in there.

Any phone calls from Garry lately? I haven't heard from Cole other than email.--and those are usually one liners.
