Hi Jacquie - no we are not there in Goose Creek this weekend. Andy missed passing Comp by just a few points, so he will not be graduating today. He will be re-taking Comp next Wednesday. He's pretty frustrated to have missed it by so few points, but is very grateful to have the opportunity to try again. It's been hard on all of us, but as long as he gets that piece of paper then we'll be thrilled. Congratulations to Derrick - enjoy your celebration! I'm so happy for all of you!

Hi Jacquie - hope Derrick did well on Comp today! Can you believe it - graduation in just a few days?

Hi Jacquie - did you get your invite to the NNPTC graduation? Ours came in the mail yesterday - nothing fancy at all, but it was so exciting to know it'll be here soon. In just 3 weeks from today we should be driving down to GC - God willing Andy passes COMP. He's getting over a cold - he said a lot of guys are sick. No wonder, with all the stress they are under. Can't wait to see our nukes graduate! Take care!

Hi Jacquie! Just wanted to say hi and see how Derrick is doing. It's hard to believe we'll be there in less than 4 weeks. We've made reservations at the house we stayed at during Spring Break. It's real close to the mall the sailors always go to - close to shopping and restaurants. Andy says he'll be staying in Charleston for Prototype, and it looks like he'll class up Oct. 13th. He had put in for a 2 month hold, but apparently most of the class did as well. Nothing set in stone yet, he just needs to get through the next 3 weeks of tests and homework and then Comp! He fractured his left thumb a few weeks ago, so maybe Derrick would recognize him by the splint on his left hand. Best of luck to Derick in the upcoming weeks - I'll be thinking about him!

Hi Jacquie, i am not in louisiana now, i am in california with my daughter and her hubby for 2 weeks, and have not been on site either. my son sounds unsure about alot of things and dosent seem to want to talk about them now. he already lives off base because he is married so that is one thing that i will not have to worry about. he is struggling with one class in particular and is pretty down about it. we will be going over for grad, but will only be there for a few days, husband is out of vacation. talk to you soon

I get the work thing totally, mine is the opposite right now though. Being a school secretary we are doing registration, taking trainings and trying to get everything ready for the teachers return on the 14th. Doesn't feel like there is time to even breathe sometimes. We are coming in early afternoon on the 24th so I think that is still ok. From the way Mike is talking, I think by early in the week they are pretty much done with school and onto the graduation part. They are talking over on the Nuke site about a restaurant with our Sailors on Thursday night. Hopefully it will get worked out and publicized well enough for lots to take advantage of it. Where are you all staying? We are at the Villas (they are great).

Hi Jacquie, I don't stop in often but like to touch base with you when I do. Hope Derrick is doing well. I saw you are staying at the Villas. We stayed there in April and they are nice especially for the price. We are going back to SC over Labor Day for Ryne's birthday. This time we are staying on an Island about 2 hours away if all works out for Ryne to leave for the weekend w/o taking leave. Have a great trip and I'll touch base with you again.

I am really glad you found more pictures of Derrick. Mike is section 7, which section is Derrick? Yes Mike is in the red shirt by himself. Thank you for the compliment, I am definitely a proud momma. Is Derrick EM, ET or MM? Mike is MM. Are you going down for graduation on Sept. 25? It looks on Nuke Moms like they are trying to put a meet and greet together. I would love to meet you and Derrick. Did you figure out how to download the pictures?

Sorry it's been a while.... No we haven't made any reservations yet for the Power School graduation. We'll probably wait until it gets closer - not sure if we're driving or flying yet. Andy's grades are improving and he is still enjoying it all.
He's past the halfway mark - September will be here before we know it!
