Profile Information

About me:
I am also a Navy Vet, My Son made me proud when he decided to go to the Navy in 2004. I met his Father in the Navy. I however did not marry his Father, I came back to the states and fell in love with a Marine, have been happily married for 25 years.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I can, It gave me the self confidence I needed to do all I had to do. I felt so proud to put that uniform on, and I was special.
I still feel it after all these years, I kept what I could from my uniform just to remind me of what an honor it was to serve my country. I got out in 1981, and to this day still feel like I am still in. Thanks, Jaymee.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hello Karen, Thanks for welcoming me and my Son Jim. He was in Sasebo Japan on the USS Essex for 3 years following Boot and Missile training in Dam Neck Virginia, it was very hard on me, he is my only child, never had any more children. So I missed him terrible. He is now stationed at Newport News Virginia on the Uss Carl S. Vinson. which is in drydock with repairs. So I have been able to talk to him more, and I also got to see him over the Easter weekend. He is married now to a great girl from back here in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I can not wait for Grandchildren! I am going to be 50 years old this September, so I think it is about time. I hope to send you some pictures soon. I am not great on this computer. Well gotta go. Nite Nite. Jaymee.
