I found myself interesting in doing support for all branches of military and want to see if there are any moms or families that are interested in starting up hometown support groups or wide spread. See also my care package idea group site.

How long does it usually take for admin to get back to you with a user id and password for the family site?

Would someone be able to point me in the direction of the Family Site? I didn't know there was one. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, I am Patty and I live here in Jax too, with my son stationed in Norfolk on the Iwo Jima! When he got back from Iraq last year he had to serve on the Bataan until the Iwo Jima came back from deployment. What does your son do?
I am so glad I have found this website, it is neat to connect with other moms!

Hi Jennifer, my son isn't actually "on" the Bataan yet. He is assigned to it, but is still completing his C school. He is an FC (firecontrolman). He works on the computers that run the weapons systems on the ship. What does your son do??

Greetings Jennifer! I really hope to save for a trip to Jacksonville next year since my son is at Mayport. I'm about to send off a care package to him. His three sisters are together this week with me, so that makes us miss him more. Communication has changed so much since I was a young Navy wife. Contact is a little more frequent and up-to-date now! I'm so glad there is support on the web for parents, since we aren't located (usually) at their duty stations.
Have a great day!
