Hi there, how haveyou been? Hope you're feeling better. How's Cody? Ashley is doing great. I just got back from spending 15 wonderful days w/ her in Hawaii & didn't want to come back. She definitely lucked up when she picked Paradise:) My little girl is getting engaged next month. She's known her boyfriend since high school & he's also in the Navy. I'm meeting her in San Diego next month because his ship will be deploying. I can hardly wait. ((HUGS))

Jennifer-Just saw your note a long time ago on my profile. I've been going straight to groups-not looking at my profile. Won't make that mistake again! How's Cody doing? Any better? Went up there last week to hear the CO talk. Where does Cody work on the ship? Where are you from in Florida?

Hi again, Jennifer.
Thank you for your letter. It IS such an amazing place here at N4M. I don't know what I would have done these past few weeks without the support of my new Navy Mom friends...
YOur video is so beautiful. As I watched, I reminisced through the years with my Cody as well. Each milestone, each triumph, each heartache. I find it hard to put into words the love I have for my son and I see here that there are so many others who share that same bond. We are so blessed.
Right now, I'm waiting for the Grad Packet to see if Cody is Grad n Go. He's heading to A School in Pensacola but I hope we will have the weekend with him. Whatever the case, we will be there for his PIR, prouder than we ever thought possible, I'm sure!
Do you know when your son will deploy? Where? I think the questions are the hardest part... as Moms, we just want to have all the answers for our kids and now, we're not in control!?!? I guess this is one of OUR lessons to learn.:-)
Thank you for being in touch... I hope we can keep connected.
Have a wonderful day!
Sue

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I learned it all... Helped Cody Study for DEP. Learned that there are kids going that have no family and need others to step up and support them too.
Learned that I had to let him make more of his own descisions. And that I will be learning more and more everyday through out this and his military career. Oh! And there is no stupid questions so if you dont know ask.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I found this link for Free Blue Star Flags.... I am Honored to have a child serving in the Navy. I do anything I can to show my pride. I think families should display that they have a loved one or (Ones) serving in the Military and this is a great way to start. Our children and families are sacraficing everything to serve this country but parents, wives, Husbands, etc. also sacrifice as well. We can not hug our loved ones daily, we can not be t… Continue
