Yes, this is new to me too. I hop we get a call soon but don't expect it.. That way you're not too disappointed. I think their RDC is one of the tough ones.. I plan to make flight arrangements this week. I can't wait to see him!

hi. Jennifer. My son is in Div 051 Ship 14. I noticed on the PIR forum that your son is in the same division as mine. I haven't gotten any calls either (except the when he got there). I did get the PIR info Saturday.

Nicholas sounds like Andrew, they should get along great. Andrew is an Eagle Scout and was very active in our Youth Group at Church. I'm anxious to hear if they know each other as well. Where are you from ??

Me again. Andrew did also say he met alot of nice people on the bottom of the Navy form letter where they get to write a couple lines which makes me feel better. He is very outgoing and has so many close friends so he will be the one in his Div. to bring people together. I'm glad you mentioned they get to go to church. Someone on this sight said the Catholic priest is a real character (in a good way) and they enjoyed him very much so I hope Andrew has made it to mass as well.

Lucky us, we are traveling from PA and it is only an 8 hour drive. Of course, bad weather could make it a much longer drive but at least I don't have to be at the mercy of airplanes and hoping the airports are all open and operating. That is smart of you to give yourselves an extra day. Nothing from Andrew is the mail today......maybe soon.

Jennifer, sorry, I just sent you a letter and asked when Nicholas left. Then I noticed on your page that he left 11/5. Andrew left 11/5 as ell. You've had letters already, we haven't !! You mentioned their graduation might not be as posted on GL web-site. I hope that is not the case. We want to take our 8 year old daughter and I was hoping PIR would be during their Holiday break from school.

Nicholas is in Div. 051 USS Arizona, After basic he is going to AirCrew in Pensocola FL Aviation Warfare Specialist. We are close to Clifton Park. It will be nice if we can meet in January. THis iste is so helpful to me because I feel connected to NIcholas by getting to know all of you .....

Jennifer - What division is Nicholas in? Where will his A school be? Danny is in 907 and will be a gunners mate with A school in Great Lakes. I see you live in Gloversville - we just moved from Clifton Park to Virginia. Note that Mark and Sally Z also have a son in Div 907 with our son and obviously same PIR date. They still live in Capital region. We're likely going to drive out to Chicago and link it up with holiday trips somehow.

we got one letter on Sat. and my mom and dad got one. Nicholas said it is stressful but they are all transitioning and expect it to get harder. Website says they graduate Jan. 2nd but he wrote probably 2nd week of Jan. so I know we can't plan our trip yet. Its hard but I know this is one long step towards reaching htere goals ! I did learn there are different div. within the ship ....Its all new to me as well but I am learning alot on this site Jennifer
