Profile Information

About me:
I'm a late 20's Navy Wife. My husband has been in the Navy for nearly 14 years. I have only been a part of the military lifestyle for 2 1/2 years and it's been quite a ride!

My husband and I had an increadibly short courtship, so when we married, I didn't know anything about the military lifestyle or what resources were available to me or even how to contact my Ombudsman. After a year and a half of blundering through it all, I finally started to get it all figured out (I hope, lol). Because I don't want anyone to have to struggle the way I did, I recently took on the role of Command Ombudsman of my husband's command and hope to be able to be able to lend support here as well as learn the parental aspect of military life to better serve our Command family.
I am here to support or represent my:
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
LEARN YOUR RESOURCES!! If you don't know where to start, get ahold of your Sailor's Command's Fleet & Family Service Center. Any recruiter should be able to find the contact info for you if you have trouble.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
