Hi Jinjer, well we got the call I have been regreting, in a way, Justin is bring sent home. He didnt pass his acedemics test #2. I told him that all things happen for a reason. I also told him that last month I had been diagnosed with cervical cancer and have to have surgery 1-9-09. I told him I had put it off hoping that I would be attending PIR on 1-2-09. He needs to come home. I talked to legal already and they said he will discharged, but will be able to reenlist in any branch after 6 months. We will see what Justin wants to do. Now my worries are for my son staying in ship 17, which I have read many, many horror stories about. Good luck to you, your family and your recruit. God Bless.

Hi, Welcome to Navy for Mom’s. You will find lots of support, advice, information, and friends here!! All you have to do is read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join the group of moms from Texas!! We are the largest state group on this site!! (Everything is bigger in Texas - including Navy Moms)!!

Just go to the groups tab and type in Texas in the search box. The icon of the group is the state of Texas, of course!! If you can’t find that, click on my picture to the left and it will take you to my page. You can find the same icon there. Just click on it and you can join us!!

Please leave a short message about where you live and what your sailor is doing. Also, please let us know how you found Navy for Moms.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He just returned from three months in Kuwait and on oil platforms in the Persian Gulf. He is now stationed in Virginia.
