Profile Information

About me:
I live at the "Jersey Shore" and I have been married to Dave, (a Navy veteran), for 43 years and we have four grown children, two daughters, one in NC and the other in CT and two sons, one in CA and our Sailor in VA. We have 7 Grandchildren and I own my own business.
My Son is a Chief in the Navy and my other son is a musician in civilian life. So I like to say that my one son defends our country and the other son entertains our country.
I am here to support or represent my:
Dave
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to accept what he does, know that he has been well trained and that he is proud to serve.
I try not to worry during deployments, and I ask God to watch over him.
I am proud to say that my Daughter in law, is also Navy. We are a very proud Navy Family.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi again, Are you a member of the Blue Star group too? where do i join up? I wear a Blue Star pin everyday along with my R.Reagan pin and my son is in the Navy. I had someone about 2 months age ask me if I was a Blue Star mom and I said with pride yes, He gave me a big hug and thanked me for what we are doing for our country, I don't think that I could have held my chest any more higher then I did at that time. Hugs

Hi Joni, Wow you do not live to far from me. I'm so happy that I found this site. Everyone here is graet and just knowing that there are R. Reagan moms here helps me will Mike is on deployment. We can't wait for him to get back. My hubby and my two girls that live in San Diego coming to college will be there when his ship comes in. Still can't believe that all 3 of my kids live on the west coast and I'm here on the east coast. Thats nice that your family is closer to you. I was hopeing that Mike got Va, we have a timeshare in Willimsburg Va, and thats to far from Norfork, Va. Mike asked for SD while still in A school, Please tell your family thank you for what they are doing and God keep them safe..Hugs

Dear Joni,
It's funny, I never gave that a thought, what a snipe was. Your going to laugh, I pictured rifles, as in a "sniper"!! HAHA!!
Both your son and daughter in law have some fantastic jobs, God bless them. That's what so great about the Military, there is no male/female jobs.
A Sailor is a Sailor, I like that.
I can imagine how much of a challenge a military marriage can be.
My husband has a counsin who was a captain in the Navy. Everyone knew if he was home, the wife got pregnant everytime!! hAhA!!

Let me get going.
Take care and God bless

Dear Joni,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing!
You really have Navy all around!!! I can imagine how difficult a miltary marraige is. And both your son and daughter in law are in the Navy.
How are their children with that, missing parents.? That must be hard on them, they're too young to understand.
I always wonder about that, when the time comes and my daughter Kim gets married.

I have to ask, what is a snipe ? I've heard of it, but have no idea what job that is.

My daughter Kim finished A School, and is waiting for her orders for where she'll be stationed. I know she'll be on a ship. She was trained to read the radar.
Let me get going. I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.
