Hi Everyone!!! Just a quick note that I can certainly understand all of your ideas, concerns and questions about PIR. My son graduated from bc 2 years ago and at that time I lived in Michigan so I can imagine your emotional roller coaster ride! Bu...

Great Idea!!! My husband has his "official" business cards. We have been saying that we each should get some with our private info on them but just haven't gotten around to it yet. This will be my motivation to get it done now. Thanks!

Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
If I wear the hat of an American, I think different than wearing the hat of a Mom. When I do that I get anxious. People who do not have an enlisted son/dau just don't seem to understand.

Hi - haven't seen you on the Ike pages for quite a while. Hope all is well. I just posted info about a get together after the FRG party for homecoming. It is in the discussion section of the Ike pages. Hope you can join us. I am so looking forward to meeting some of my N4M friends and toasting the end of this deployment.

Hey friend, I got you message and I have all Wayne's info. I am so excited for the Holiday's I just can't stand it. I am so glad to have met so many wonderful mom's who Really get how we each feel. Don't know what these young sailors will think when they open a gift with their name on it...and wonder who is this person. I plan to add a letter saying I met your Mom on this site, just so they know why I'm sending them random things. LOL I don't need any money. but thank you for the offer that was so kind. I am going to wrap each one so they have to really open them....Really I can't wait to get them back. I will post pictures. How are you? I would love to live in Paris, or even just visit. My husband was a Navy man and we lived in alot of places...Fav. was Iceland. Well I need to get going to work. Good talking to you. I'll catch up with you soon ...Leann

Joma,
Here is the way we did the cookbook. We took orders until a certain date then
pushed it out. Then I finally told everyone we couldn't take anymore orders. then I took payments until Sept 30th and cut it off since I had taken orders thru then. I'm sure that we will have extras but, I will have to wait until then. I will send a message out this weekend regarding the number of books left. Let me know if you have any other questions. By the way how many do you think you will want?

Joma,
I'm sorry that I have not had a chance to get back with you on the cookbooks. At this time I don't know how many I will have left. I will send out a message to the cookbook group when I see how many are left from what we ordered. As I put in my message on the cookbook group. The cookbooks that are left will be sold on a first come first serve. I am planning on doing another cookbook after the holidays. If you have any other questions please let me know.
thanks,
Linda

Hi Joma. Thanks for the invite. I just joined N4M over the weekend. I didn't know this existed until I saw an ad on TV for it. How long has Wayne been in the Navy? What does he do on IKE? Tim is in crash and salvage.

lol,,,Hi joma Ok first to start...I myself am doing the towels for our sailors..It's something I would like to do.(i'm paying for this) .2nd the rackpacks..check with your sailor. Douglas said they have them on the IKE, but these are just nicer one's you can buy for your sailor yourself. The blanket is something Douglas told me would be nice to have as a gift as it gets cold on the ship at night, so I was doing one for Douglas and having his name put on it..I was sharing info on that as a idea for your sailor as something you could do for him. Messages...It should be under my name on my page...it should say something like send message. It should be right under my profile picture. Hope all this helps. I am still making the list of sailors but if possible will need his info by Nov 1st. or shortly after. I want to get the towels done soon so I can get them mailed by mid Nov. Hope this helpls..I had to laugh ..your too cute. Let me know if you need anything....
