Don't forget Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor. And did you know that the film The Patriot was filmed in Charleston, in fact when it was filmed many of the modern features of the city, i.e. fire hydrants, were covered up by the women's hooped skirt...

C-breez, Unfortunately you're right, because there are so many religious denominations it would be impracticable for the Navy to accomodate all, but we will try. For instance, a couple of years ago a Sailor, who is Mormon, came asking if there wer...

Just have to let you know our sailor was home in time to attend a great day long Billy Graham feature in St. Louis. It was filled with lots of Christian music entertainers, and, he got to see a lot of his old friends there! The newlyweds have a few more days here in Illinois with us before he reports back to Goose Creek for prototype.
Hope you are well and sustained by His Truth

Hello John
I haven't stopped in to say Hi and that you remain in my prayers. May you keep the focus of Jesus and His ways to guide you as you shepherd to others. May God remain your constant light and keep you strong. May you be blessed in all your service, friendships and family.

Hi Fr John
Andy had a roll back, and will now graduate from Power School in July. In the meantime he is marrying a beautiful young woman from the College of Charleston next month. Our prayer is that his marriage remains as strong and long as both parents' have.
May God continue to bless our Navy, our military, our leaders and those who lead.

Hello Fr. John
Just wanted to stop in and say Hello. Spring starts March 20th--the robins are in our yard and the daffodils have pushed through the ground. What miracles God brings into our lives when we stop to look!
Blessings

Hi, John! We Indiana moms are getting together March 14 and as part of our day, will lay wreaths at the USS INDIANAPOLIS memorial and the War Memorial downtown. Is there an 'order' to such a ceremony? Is there a guide online? I'd be grateful for whatever help you can offer. Thanks! k.

John,
Thank you for you kind words. I believe you are very right about him realizing our love for him. We had a wonderful weekend and our goodbyes were as best I could have hoped for. I am so proud and I am so surprised at what a physical feeling that is. I just can't wait to get that first phone call just to know he has made it that far. Will take things one day at a time, one moment at a time for now. Again, thank you for your encouragement, Sandy
