I think the rules are still the same. You have to know the soldier you are sending the card to. But you can go to Walter Reeds website to double check.

A Nice Gesture

I think it would be a nice gesture of we could send some cards to some kind of commanding officer or public affairs officer at Fort Hood. I have a friend who's son is stationed there. Lucky for him he was at another base in training. If anyone knows an address where myself or other's can send a card please post it. We need to keep all of our armed forces in our thoughts and prayers.

I would like to help out with care packages to the sailors on the Nimitz

Hello
How can I help out? Who could my family send care packages to on the USS NImitz? I read the same article in the Navy Times. It is going to be rough on not only the sailors but the families. If you can send me an address so we can start sending care packages that will be great. I would like to start as soon as possible.

Sandra, thank you so much for offering to help with our adopting the Nimitz Strike Group. I posted a response to your comment on my blog. Unfortunately we haven't received approval from the Nimitz yet but I am hoping to hear back from them soon. We did however get the go ahead from 3 of the smaller ships so now it's just a waiting game. We haven't quite decided what we would like to do yet as we're adopting a lot of Sailors...lol. I sent you a friend request, please feel free to PM me or leave a message on my page. By the way, whatever we do decide to do, we will be mailing everything before around the 2nd or 3rd week of Nov to ensure they receive it before Christmas. Thanks again. Pat
