Don't forget about the Charlotte Meet & Greet next Friday, 10/16. Please RSVP on the EVENTS tab. We need a head count to make reservations. They have a separate meeting room. I'll be posting the address & more info on the EVENTS page this weekend.

well would 2 0r 3 work for you? or you can just come asap when you get out. we pretty much hang out when we can have down time. we have 4 wheelers & a huge pond to fish in so i dont have far to go

i see your son is on his first deployment. i know its tough.. we just went through our first.. we only spoke to him on the phone 3x the whole 7 months. but we did get alot of emails at least.it was hard trying to get through the holidays without him here and also his sister went from a broing 13 month old to a 20 month old crazy toddler who needs to relearn who he is in her life. he is home for his 12 day leave but we have to share him. alot of friends also he wants to catch up with since high school .. im not sure waht is worse. the navy when he is gone or just the fact when he is home we are not # 1 anymore

I hear you about the weather. I have a case of premature spring fever. I know it won't last but it feels so good right now. I hope you hear from your son soon. You'll feel a whole lot better. When my son was in BC I waited for him to call me on my BD and about 4 p.m. I decided that he wasn't going to be able to call so I decided to get out of the house I was so depressed. You guessed it. He called while I was out. He was crying in his message and I cried the rest of the night. He wasn't able to call back. I was heartsick. So hang in there.

June, Our guy is at the U of South Carolina. We get to see him fairly regular since he is 2 1/2 hours away for now. He graduates May 2010. Our oldest son lives in Charleston and is a nurse. So we go down there alot. We lived there for 8 years and it still feels like it's home when we go back to visit. When our time comes to retire we'll probably go back there. Lord know where our Navy guy will be by then.
