We're in San Antonio, Texas near I-35 and I-10. Same for us, we'll help when we can.

About me:
My yougest son just joined the Navy and should be landing in Chicago as I write this. My oldest son is in the Air Force. My oldest daughter is an Air Force Academy Graduate and currently a stay at home mom. She is married to a pilot in the Air Force. My youngest daughter is still in high school and not looking for a military career as of yet.
I am here to support or represent my:
Aaron
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Still learning and buy alot of tissues. Also, the Navy has a different language than the Air Force.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was the best decision he/she could have made

I spoke to Josh and asked him if he knew your son. He goes mom we go by last names not first. But he did say they sit around and talk about this site and which mom's use it. i wish there was a way to but first and last names together but it just isn't safe. so i guess we will just have the puzzle it out like in bootcamp. it took some of us the whole 7 weeks to figure out which mom belonged to which son.

Hi Karen, Welcome to Navy for MOMS. My son is also a submariner in Seattle. Where is your son stationed. My son has been in Seattle for a little over three years. I am still learning all the sub talk. I don't know how much help will be. Ask your son lots of question about what he is doing.

Hi, Karen and welcome to "Sub Moms!" We all know about that roller coaster... sometimes it makes you want to laugh, or scream, or throw up!

There's lots of wisdom and experience in this group... and we're all here for information and support, so shout out whenever you like! Hugs, k.

How wonderful that you guys are there...although i do understand about the frustrations of being so close but not being able to see them. We leave tomorrow at 10am to drive to salt lake city utah to catch our first flight to miniappolos (lol could not figure out how to spell that one!) then it will be on to GL. I would have loved to do something with you guys for new years but our flight gets in at 11 something at night and then we will have to find a taxi to get to the navy lodge, so it looks as if we just might be spending new years eather in the taxi on the ride or checking in to the motel lol. not much of a new years eve but atleast the new year itself will be AWSOME seeing the boys and watching them graduate!!!! I am so glad that you guys had a smooth trip, ive been thinking about you both and praying that you would make it there safe. Now it is our turn tomorrow to take the trip......i pray it goes smooth as well. I will call you tomorrow on my way to the airport......i wont be able to respond back on here until i get home so i will talk you both soon on the phone, take care.
Cheri.

LOL at your children wanting to make you cry.....that was funny! WOW your already in IL? How has the weather been? I bet it sure is nice just to take your time, stop whenever you want and not have to rely on other people. I bet the boys are getting so excited as well!!! I can't wait to get there and the moment those doors open up and we see all of them marching in! let me know how the weather is.....how cold it is. Continue to drive safe :) talk to you soon.
