- About me:
- I am 44 years old and a mother to five children ages 15 yrs to 27 yrs. Our oldest son, Stephen is an Officer Candidate in the U.S. Navy and our 3 youngest children were all involved in the US Naval Sea Cadet Program at one time. Our oldest daughter is an artist and loves to paint and sketch. We have one granddaughter, Audrey Sophia, who lives with her parents, Stephen and Jordan, in Jacksonville, Florida. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 28 years.

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Was concerned or afraid
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- I had to trust God to keep my children because he is the only one who can be with them wherever they go! I also learned to stand back and watch them as they grow into responsible, respectful men and women.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I just found out I am going to be a grandmother. What should my upcoming grandbaby call me? I need lots of suggestions!!

my son want ship out for bootcamp til June 30th/July 1st. But I will join in the lunchen and everything after that. It will sink in when I see him get on that plane.

Hey there,
Saw where you were from Hayden or Warrior. I live in Fort Payne and my Son's PIR is 12/17. We used to live in McCalla closer to Warrior area. How long have you been in the Navy. I know that their is someone in my sons Div from Oak Grove , but I haven't found his Mom on here. Best of luck to you in your Navy Career!
