Just heard from my son - Class 0930 passed their A school comps today! WooHoo!!

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Needed to learn more about it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- He has made this decision and the best thing I can do is support him and be proud of him. Even though he is all grown up, family support is still very important.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

- Hi Kathy,
I'm sure you have received a letter from Dan by now. How is he doing? The first couple weeks are really difficult (for the recruit and the Mom!) but it does improve very fast. Do you have a PIR date for Dan yet? Once you receive that, the countdown will begin. I would be lying if I said the time will fly by because it certainly hasn't for me. My son's PIR is next Friday, March 13 and the days are still crawling by but once you have the graduation date at least you will see light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there! Joanne
