Profile Information

About me:
I am a Registed Nurse on a Post-Surgical floor at our local hospital. I have one son in the Navy aboard the USS Bataan. My youngest son, now a junior in high school is possibly a future Navy son as my husband was also in the Navy.
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Cherish the phone calls when you get them, cherish each and every e-mail.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Yes she did! Thank you for asking. It took her 7 hours cause the GPS took them into DC...where it is only 5 hours from here. My son was here for 5 days, cause he was in one of his best friends wedding on Saturday, but I only saw him for about 4 hours the total time. But I'll take whatever I can get at this point!
Jake hasn't been assigned yet to a carrier...But he will be since he is with the C2, which is our mail carrier plane. He did sea trials on the TR back in March. I know he would love to be on the Bush.
How is your sailor and what is his job? Hope you have a wonderful evening.

Hi Kay, Welcome. This is a great site here. My son Antonio is in his first year in the Navy. He is also on his first deployment, and will return the end of March 2009. He is stationed in Virginia Beach. My name is Willia, and I live in Holly Hill, S.C.

Hi Kay!
Congrats on the new daughter in law! Navy Family is very tight. I am sure in no time she will be right in the thick with all the wives there in Norfolk! What a handsome Sailor you have there! You have found a great place here. Did you know they have a Norfolk group?
