- Mom of a Nuke, who's serving on the sub USS ALABAMA in Bangor, WA. Still crazy in love with my hubby after 26 years. Daughter is still home; a Senior in high school. And sometimes I love my mini-schnauzer more than all of 'em!

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Needed to learn more about it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- Be a "sanctuary." Calling Mom should be a comfort. Try to always be upbeat, supportive, and on his side... he's got so many pressures and really needs only a cheerleader, not a coach.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

The photo is on the mantle at my home as well as my mothers we are really happy that he survived. He is now in Groton. I think that he will be there a year. I am looking forward to my first visit there.
