Dear Keiganismom,
How are you holding up? See, I told you he was fine. It just takes a few weeks to get adjusted to the rountine of Boot Camp. Like anything new, it's hard.

Just the first letter sometimes is sad. After that, not only do the letters get more uplifting, your son will be writting in Navy lingo! HAHA! That's fun trying to figure out what he's saying! HAHAH!

Please stay in touch.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

Dear Keiganismom,
How are you doing? Ths Navy for moms is such a blessing.
Relax, it does get easier as each day passes.

He'll be fine. Once he gets into the rountine of Boot Camp and over being homesick, he'll like Boot Camp. All the recruits do beleive it or not.

It's the moms having the nervous breakdowns! HAHA!
Boot Camp isn't has horrible as us moms picture it.

I'll let you know what to expect. With in 48 hours after leaving, he should call you to let you know he arrived. Now you need patience.

The following week, you'll recieve the box with his belongings in it. There's no letter. Warning, this box will leave en empty feeling.

The second week is the Form letter, Don't misplace this. The Form letter is now combined with graduation information It should have his Division and Ship numbers along with the address.
On the back, there will be a couple of sentences from him, You'll have some relief seeing his handwritting.

Around the third week, your first long letter. Another warning, sometimes that first letter is sad. If it is, don't panic, it takes time to get into the rountine. The letters will get more uplifting.
You may even recieve a phone call the following weeked.

Please stay in contact with other Navy moms. I'm always around. Together we'll help you through Boot Camp....we haven't lost a mom yet! HAHA!

Please don't hesitate to write.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara
