Hi Kim, Are U ready? I'm Nila. How's your son like being on the TR? I have a daughter, Nneka who is on TR. She is a radar tech. I'm going to join her on the Tiger Cruise. So Excited. Soon and very soon!!! It's been sooo long.

- Hi Kim and welcome to the TR group. My son has been with the TR for almost 5 years. He gets out this June, unless he pulls a last minute decision...he's done that before. I'm also a retired navy/coast guard wife and we live in Cali. Hey I rooted for the Cardinals...I thought we had a chance there for a while - Take care.

Brian is in Mississippi right now..in a shelter because of Hurricane Gustav. He said that Keesler AFB is flooded. Im not sure when he will be able to get back to the barracks. His spirits are good. Irene.Kevin'sMom said… - Kim- I saw your message on the Pendacola FL A school group, and thought I'd touch base with you. My name is Irene and my son PIR'd on June 27th and arrived at Pensacola on July 3rd. He is also Aviation Mechanics. I just spoke with him yesterday and he still has NO IDEA when his classes are going to start. The Navy has been keeping the boys busy doing PT and watching Naval history movies, and then more PT. The sailors are bored so when they get liberty on the weekend, they shell out the $20 for a cab ride to go to the mall. Where they spend more money. My son has blown more money in the last 2 months than he has in the last 2 years! Oaky , maybe that is an exaggeration, but it sure seems like it! LOL!! Anyway, I just wanted to meet you and make a connection with you. -- Irene

Congratulations to you and your family..and your new sailor :) We got a call yesterday and Brian just got to Mississippi where he will be spending the next 94 days.
