Profile Information

About me:
I was born on an Air Force Base and raised as a military brat (it was a wonderful life and I'm grateful to have had all the opportunities given to me). My son recently graduated from college and was working in a dead end job. He began talking about joining the military and I have to admit, I was a bit apprehensive (the war going on) but this is such a great opportunity for him that I've encouraged him every step of the way.

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I'm still learning and have a long way to go! My son has gone from his original enlistment to being accepted for OCS. He leaves the first part of December.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:

Please go to the Event Forum and look at the Blue Candle Lighting Event on Christmas day.. Welcome aboard , You can light the candles from each Sailor and recruits home. Info on the Events calendar..Please share with your groups and moms from your States.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
