For families and friends of Sailors who are stationed at Norfolk; for either Sea Duty or Shore Duty Sailors. Just make sure to keep OPSEC issues in mind and not disclose ship movements in advance.

As a group, we would like to adopt a group of sailors and send letters and/or packages. I think we N4M could make a big difference in some sailors lives if all of us would just write one letter (you can do more if you want)

Welcome to Navy for Moms. My sailor is currently waiting for final orders to go to Hawaii. He is a sonar tech aboard a submarine. He's been in for a year now and I'm excited that he gets to go to Hawaii! You'll find a wealth of information here on this site. Along with Friendship, Support, Determination, Inspiration and good conversation! Have a Wonderful 4th of July and lets not forget why we celebrate it and how we preserve it! GO NAVY

Our Son is stationed in Norfolk, Va. He is currently on deployment on the USS Battaan LHD-5, He is DCFN and has learned alot of things and done alot of things I never even knew he was interested in already! He like so many others is a video game whiz and the classic computer crazy 18 yr old, this was his first duty base and deployment right out of A School and we are so very proud of him!

Profile Information

About me:
I work in the Oil and Gas Industry and I am happily married to the Father of my stepson, who is the Sailor in our lives! Altogether we have six children. Our oldest son, has lived with me the past five years, and the four years prior to that he lived with just his Father. Regardless of his history, I am so very proud of him and I love him like one of my own. He has two younger step brothers at his home with us in Texas, and a younger step sister there too. He has two younger sisters who live in Jacksonville, Fl with his mother. I truly believe the Navy will have a big hand in helping him find himself, and guide him in the best direction for his future!
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To let my child make his own decisions, good or bad, and to let him learn his own life lessons. That I can be there to support him in whatever he does, and that I don't have to agree with it or like it but I can always love him no matter what.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
