About me:
I was a single mom for many years. I had two daughters and one son. My son is the baby and is now at boot camp. I am proud of his decision and hope that he will discover his potential and live up to it.
I am here to support or represent my:
Tyler
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Learned??? I am still learning, very new to this stuff. Not much military background in our family, lots to learn.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was the best decision he/she could have made

Kim, Tyler was lucky to get a ride the way he did. Josh did take his cell phone and laptop. He called the quartdeck before he left to ask what he could have. I talk to him everyday now which is great. He said sub school is long because he starts class at 6:45 and ends at 4pm.however the rest of the time is his. He has two roommates, refrig and micowave. They can have tv but all three are to cheap to buy one yet. I think that was a hint but i'm not buying it for him. LOL he makes more money than i do with his sub pay extra. Let me know how Tyler is making out at school. Maybe you could send his cell phone to him and than you could talk more.

Hellooooo Kim, am I glad to hear from you ! Did you get a message I sent you yesterday? I don't see it on your page and I hope it didn't go to someone else by mistake. Maybe I forgot to hit the add comment button ? Yikes !!! Anyway, I have so many things to tell you about our trip, but I don't want to post it here and I haven't been able to find the paper I wrote your email address on. I came home from the trip so sick and now more than a week later, I'm still not well. My daughter was sick during PIR but she didn't seek treatment because she didn't want to get held back. Well, if I find your email address I will tell you the rest of my story. It is ashame that we didn't get to meet up at the Lodge.

Kim , it's too bad your son had to leave so soon for CT. Joshua is leaving early saturday morning for RI and than the drive to CT. I still don't understand why they have to go to RI to get to CT.

Hi Kim, Thanks for thinking of Mike. He had no problems in the end and did graduate. We loved seeing him I can't believe how much he changed in 2 short months, the Navy really seems to be good for him. Mike also left Saturday for A school. He is in Mississippi but we haven't heard from him yet. He has a short A school his orders are only for 32 days so we should be seeing him again sometime in Feburary.

Hi Kim, My e-mail address is apr474@aol.com I'm in the process of changing my cell number within the next few days. After i change it, i will give you the new number okay ? I don't know about you but, i'm starting to feel nervous about this trip. I hope we're blessed with nice weather while traveling. I went on this weather site last night that said it would be 19 F on Monday, cloudy am, then sunny pm... That doesn't sound too bad. Well Kim, have a great day and let me know if you hear from Tyler..

Hi Kim, We can exchange cell phone numbers before we leave. That would be great. We plan on leaving Sunday morning taking I 75 up to Tenn. then 24 west to Nashville, I 65 N to Louisville, Kentucky then through to Indiana and I 90 W to IL. Are those the same highways you'll be traveling on ? A Navy mom named Princess posted a comment that, if anyone wants her cell number when we travel up there, we can email her for it. She mentioned that she lives in the North Chicago area, not too far from the base and can help us out with directions. If i end up driving with just my mom, i will probably ask her for it. I am terrible with directions but a very safe driver LOL!!! Take care.... Maria
