About me:
Proud mother of 2 boys, Joshua and Daniel. Both boys were and are in NJROTC at Hilton Head Island High School, SC. That is where they got the military bug. Married for 21 years and originally from the Detroit suburbs. Moved south when Josh was 8 months old. We enjoy the island life and both boys love the beach. Husband owns a Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning franchise, while I spend my day at Morgan Stanley. Both boys are great children and proud of their accomplishments. I couldn't ask for better!! ">

Hey Kim, I was thrilled to hear from you again!! been so long!! brooklyn is in the pacific ocean somewhere between Japan and China . She was just in Hong Kong 3 days ago for 5 days. She is on the USS GW and working nights (12 hour shifts) on the flight deck doing line checks! I cant believe Josh is still in school! WoW!! I forgot what rate he went into. Brooklyn is in Aviation and works on Jets. I almost called and asked if you could take my Son in down there just to help him get away from here. he and his dad have not spoken since i came back from brooklyns PIR and it really tore my heart . he has been taking care of a friend of mines 80 year old mother since Spring and basically my friend took advantage of my Sons compassionate heart and he called me and told me what was going on and i was furious with her so i told him he needed to just move out. well he moved back to michigan and is living with my oldest daughter and her husband and 6 kids. her oldest which makes 7 Kids lives with us and we are raising him with his cousin (Cuz our Middle daughter had died 5 years ago when he was 1) its not easy for me at all. i feel like my husband has all the freedom and i dont. I am really working on coming down there and seeing you and hoping to do it before spring!! I am glad you will get to see josh for the holidays. get lost of pics as you dont know how long it will be before you see him again!! I saw the news about Ft hood Shootings and really broke my heart!! Well i will send you my new cell phone number in a message so you can call me sometime. take care and miss you!!

Hi, Kim! Had a great day today. My hubby was selected to be the "Davy Jones" for the Seafair Pirates (google to see who they are) and they had their landing at Alki Beach today in West Seattle. Weather was fantastic and about 20,000 people showed up. Pirates everywhere - big, little, young and old - just about the best time I've ever had. Tomorrow they'll be in a parade just down the street from where we live. Can't wait to see them! hope you had a great day too! Pegi

Hi, Kim! I know, I've been a bad blogger ... I've got a ton of excuses but they're all lame, so {virtual hug} and hope all is going well. Cara's off to school now too (Athens / Supply Corps); Russ is doing well (Norfolk / Sea School). He's still in touch with a lot of guys from basic which is great. Lots of stuff going on at the place I work (PACCAR); sales down - belts tightening - yadayaday...too many people having to deal with too much stuff. Hope the new guy in the Oval Office can help figure this stuff out! But I ramble...take care and have a good one! I promise to check back with greater frequency. Cheers! Pegi

Kim - if you don't mind me asking, you mentioned you have a son at GL waiting to go to Riverines. What is his rating? Our sons is finishing up GM A school and hoping to get into Riverines - I wasn't aware there's a hold. Just wondering.....Glen

Hey Kim ~ So very nice to hear from you as I've been on roller skates for a minute now!! PJ is doing well...at least as far as I know haven't had contact with her for a few sdays now but she's on deployment and I'm sure very very busy. My son graduated last Tuesday and he's well. Both your son's are away? Wow, so does this mean you have a empty house now?! Party time!! Just kiddding. lol Yeah, I'm with you...I couldn't see wanting to go Marine b/c at all... but our kids may be a bit tougher than us. Don't tell PJ I said that though. Stay well & blessed, Sherry
