About me:
Proud mother of 2 boys, Joshua and Daniel. Both boys were and are in NJROTC at Hilton Head Island High School, SC. That is where they got the military bug. Married for 21 years and originally from the Detroit suburbs. Moved south when Josh was 8 months old. We enjoy the island life and both boys love the beach. Husband owns a Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning franchise, while I spend my day at Morgan Stanley. Both boys are great children and proud of their accomplishments. I couldn't ask for better!! ">

We are thinking about going to Charleston for the Navy Week in April. Maybe we will meet there. Steven was to be at AP Hill this week for training, but the river had too much ice so they stayed at Little Creek to do some other work ups. Talk to you soon

The meet and greet is in Myrtle Beach at the Market Commons at a restaurant called Gordon's. It will on l/23 but I have to check the time. Last week Steven was at Fort Pickett and this week he is at AP Hill. He too was in the extreme cold. I believe they were doing ground training. Not sure what's up this week. Did you hear about Navy Week in Charleston in April. Sounds great and am thinking of going with my husband for a few days. Not sure the exact deployment date for Steven so it will all depend on that.

Kim, I a m sorry I misspoke in my earlier comment. I do know that your son is also in Rivron1 since I have spoken to you in the Riverine Mom group. Sorry I didn't connect the dots. Seems like we are in this thing together regarding deployment. Steven is on the ground team in Rivron1 Det2. I know Hilton Head is a distance away from Myrtle Beach, but it would be great to meet you if you are coming to South Carolina Mom's meet & greet on 1/23. Wonder if the boys know each other.

hey Kim have not heard from you in a while..You did not forget me did you? LOL how was your thanksgiving?I hope great. It was my first without any of my kids! i mean it about me coming down there in the spring!! brooklyn is suppose to coming home on leave in march or april before she goes back to sea. She is hoping to have the money to fly home. I would love to be able to bring her there to Hilton Head with me! Well looking to hear from you soon! Check me out on navydads too!!

Hey Kim, I was thrilled to hear from you again!! been so long!! brooklyn is in the pacific ocean somewhere between Japan and China . She was just in Hong Kong 3 days ago for 5 days. She is on the USS GW and working nights (12 hour shifts) on the flight deck doing line checks! I cant believe Josh is still in school! WoW!! I forgot what rate he went into. Brooklyn is in Aviation and works on Jets. I almost called and asked if you could take my Son in down there just to help him get away from here. he and his dad have not spoken since i came back from brooklyns PIR and it really tore my heart . he has been taking care of a friend of mines 80 year old mother since Spring and basically my friend took advantage of my Sons compassionate heart and he called me and told me what was going on and i was furious with her so i told him he needed to just move out. well he moved back to michigan and is living with my oldest daughter and her husband and 6 kids. her oldest which makes 7 Kids lives with us and we are raising him with his cousin (Cuz our Middle daughter had died 5 years ago when he was 1) its not easy for me at all. i feel like my husband has all the freedom and i dont. I am really working on coming down there and seeing you and hoping to do it before spring!! I am glad you will get to see josh for the holidays. get lost of pics as you dont know how long it will be before you see him again!! I saw the news about Ft hood Shootings and really broke my heart!! Well i will send you my new cell phone number in a message so you can call me sometime. take care and miss you!!
