Hi there. I wasn't sure if your last comment was in reply to my comment or not. What I was saying is that "Just call the Navy Exchange Photo Lab at 847-578-6205 M-F 7am-3:30pm. The cost for the Video or DVD from them is $29.00. They'd told me it takes 6-8 weeks for delivery." By doing that you will be able to order the DVD or Video as well as the division group picture. However, if you're looking for other peoples pictures of their own sailors individually that wouldn't apply. Your son could've ordered his professional portrait as well. Our son ordered a bunch. They're really nice.

You're very welcome, Kimberly. An explanation to sort of 'put you in the moment'...as you know it was terribly cold that day. We were inside this armory type building. The recruits, division by division, were outside lined up. They roll up the big door and then the division would present (stand there) for a moment. Then they'd march in. They would march around to another formation then the door would open and another division would present themselves. Once they got inside in proper formations for the ceremony all the sailors would take off their scarves and their winter coats. OMG it was amazing, just amazing. There were 11 divisions of approximately 80 per group that graduated that day-over 800. I guess they do that every single Friday, a Great Lakes employee told me. We weren't going to go because I suddenly lost my job in November and finances weren't in the best of shape. But I have retiree benefits from USAir (not the job I just lost) and it allows all of us to fly completely free. So we bit the bullet and went maxing out our credit card to make the trip with the hotels and car rentals. Since Justin was grad n go we flew down to Pensacola to spend that weekend with him. I'm very glad that we decided to throw caution to the wind where finances were concerned and just do it. Our son had told us that we didn't need to come. However that initial hug after 2 months meant the world to all 5 of us. It was pure emotions I can tell you. I hope this helps, just a little, to live through my eyes and feelings as I know you would've been the very same with Cody. I tell ya the pride in that room could've really been cut with a knife. The Navy Band played and the Navy Choir sung. Both were awesome beyond words. God bless your sailor and your family.

Hi Kimberly, My Josie had her PIR on 1-30 also. We could not go to it but she is now in TX.(San Antonio) and we will see her this weekend. Will you be coming to the Waco greet&meet? It's March 21.

Kimberly I am sorry that you couldn't make it. I thought I just didn't see you there were so many people there. I might be able to get you some footage. I still have to get mine downloaded. How is Cody doing now? Brett loves it in South Carolina. He started school today and may get to come home for 10 days at the end of May. Keep me posted. Michelle

Don't cry to much only seven days left. But I do know how you feel after I missed the call from Brett on Christmas Eve I was heartbroken. Just know that they did great. They scored 4.88 out of 5 the highest score in awhile. This is such an acomplishment for these boys. Expecially after hearing about the hard time they were having in the beginning. I hope that they have made life long friends with each other. They are now going to be such confident men. Wow MEN !!!!! I am looking forward to meeting you next week. It is awsome how the boys have brought us moms together. Keep your chin up Brett said that they might get another phone call this weekend. Keep the phone close. If they don't get to call just think in seven days you can give Cody a big hug which is even better than a phone call. :)

Kimberly how have you been doing? Did you get a call today? If not Brett said they might get to call next Friday after battlestations. He said they were doing good and sounded excited about finishing battlestations and getting there Navy caps and becoming sailors. It made me feel better knowing that he is not regretting his decision to enlist. Are you going to the graduation? I can't wait to meet everyone there!! Have a great evening. Michelle

Happy New year to you. We have started to get letters on a regular basis and it is so great. I kind of like the letters they are so much better than emails. I carry them around with me and when I start missing him I can just pull them out and read them. I got a letter yesterday that said that they are getting haircuts again Today. Brett said that we wont recognize them. Brett is the RCPO which is the head of the div. He said it is hard but it is good. He also did say that their div is having some trouble, there are some guys that cant figure out how to be quiet but that they were getting better. From the sounds of it there are a couple of div that are having a harder time than them. Our div is grad and go which is a bummer I was looking forward to spending the weekend with him, but again not meant to be. Only 4 more weeks isn't that amazing. It seems some times like time has flown by and other days like it is crawling. We are debating wether we will fly to graduation or to South Carolina to see Brett. He said that when he gets a call home we will figure it out. I can't imagine missing graduation though. Hope all is well with you and that the letters start rolling in.

Kimberly I just missed my call from Brett. So stay close to your phone. I also haven't heard if you got your letter yet. I hope you have. If you could let me know how they are doing that would be awsome since I guess I wasn't meant to get my call yet. I guess God had other ideas about that :) I hope you all have a great Christmas.
