Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

I found great rates at Holiday Inn-Guernee. The Navy rates are about $79 a night and from what the other moms have told me, this is a great hotel to stay at. About 10 miles from base. Has an indoor pool, next door to six flags and the mall.

OK...now you need to get busy on your home page!! We need pictures. You don't get to just be a gray blob. We need to be able to put a face with this name...lol. I've said that everyone should have to have a button made with their N4M picture on it for graduation so we know who everyone is.

Have you made graduation reservations yet? A bunch of us are staying at the Navy Lodge (very close to GL, $62/nite [no tax]). We'd love to have you join us. We are planning on dinner or something the night before PIR. Everyone from the PIR group is welcome.

Does Lauren have a birthday during bootcamp? We are sending cards to all "our" recruits for their birthdays. If you'd like to participate, the list can be found on my blog page:

This bootcamp thing is a wild ride!! Hang on tight.

Hello and Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I’m glad you’ve joined us. As you start exploring you will see a great amount of chatter (IE: knowledge, support, advice, etc.) on our site (in our blogs, forums, and videos.) Before you add your point of view (POV) or ask questions, I want to share some ground rules with you. Here they are:
1) Please show respect at all times for all who belong to this community. (I like to say- Keep it civil… and everybody love everybody!)
2) For security, please do not reveal the current location of your Sailor or Officer.
3) Remember that this community is public, so anything you post (about yourself, your child or someone else) can be seen by anyone.
4) This site is moderated, so inappropriate content will be removed, like anything vulgar, hateful, violent, racist or otherwise obnoxious or illegal.
5) We may remove anything deemed inappropriate or inaccurate.
6) Members who solicit, advertise products, spam or flood on this site will be asked to walk the plank. Seriously.
7) DON'T SHOUT! Writing in capital letters means you're screaming in the digital world. That's not nice. So to emphasize a word, place *asterisks* on either side.
8) Let’s be tidy. Before beginning a new topic in the Forums, try searching at the top right of your screen to see if the subject has been addressed already. AKA- Be BEST friends with the search button!
9) Please don’t send the site's administrator (that’s me!) questions about the Navy. That’s what the Forums and your local recruiter are for. This site's administrators are NOT members of the U.S. Navy. They're here to keep the topics organized but cannot provide any Navy-related answers, nor can they respond to personal questions. (And trust me, Navy Moms answer quicker and better than I ever could)
10) Feel free to contact me with suggestions or comments about this site’s functionality.

Okay, so those are the house rules. Time to connect with other Navy moms!
I look forward to reading more about you!
Sincerely, Catherine
