I went to the RTC website to print my Parking pass, and the password I have won't work. Anyone else having this problem? Did they change the password when they changed the graduation date? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

My husband is flying in later in the day than I am, so I doubt we will make it for the Meet and Greet. I was really looking forward to being there. I hope everyone has a great time! Two weeks to go!

My son is in ship 10, div. 367. He is a Grad 'n Go, but I am okay with it. An hour with him is better than no time with him. Although he did say that I could probably see him at the airport if I wanted to meet him there. I finally made my travel a...

About me:
I am a wife and mother of two boys. My oldest graduated from high school in June 2009, and left for Boot Camp 2 1/2 months later. My youngest is 16, and a Junior in High School, as well as a Sophomore in Community College. My husband is a full time fire fighter. I love to sew, and I am learning to crocchet. I also love to travel, so I am looking forward to visiting my son, wherever he ends up.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Be patient while they are in Boot Camp. They will contact you, and everything will be okay for them, and yourself.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Kristi, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley, has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT. What will your son/daughter be doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your recruit. Pat

P.S. Karen isn't aware that you responded to her as you wrote on your own wall. You can copy & paste your response to her wall by clicking on her profile pic.

Thanks Karen. My son will graduate from High School in 6 weeks. He is a third year NJROTC cadet. He signed up for the Navy last summer three days after school let out, and has been involved in the DEP program since, and scheduled to leave in late August. He is is going into the Nuclear program, and wants to be on an Aircraft Carrier.

As a mom sending off her first born, I am more sad about him leaving than I am about him joining the Navy. I know that the training and experiences he will have will be far more rewarding for him than it would be if he were to stay home and go out and get a job in the private sector, but it doesn't make it any easier to let go of him.
