Married almost 23 years to a wonderful husband and father. We have grown up and lived in the same area all of our lives. Chris is 21 and Katie is 19. Our daughter graduated boot camp the end of March, and our son will graduate on 6/12. We are very proud of our children!

I really hope you are hanging in there! you must be a fantastic mother and I hope to learn to become one from learning from mothers like you :) my son is 2 years old and thinking about him going to boot camp in the next 20 years makes me tear already. hang tight. they will be home soon enough.

Hi Lisa, our sons are in the same division. Have you received any letters from your son? I received one on Thursday from Grant. He sounded homesick and said he missed us all. I hope his next letter will sound more positive. I can't believe they have only been gone a little over 2 weeks. It seems like forever!

Hi Lisa, It looks like my boyfriend, Joseph, is in the same division as your son. I can't believe you are going through this again, I feel like a crazy person. I miss him so much. My phone has practically become part of me. Do you know how soon the will get to make phone calls and how often? I was lucky enough to get 1 phone call last Saturday, but it just wasn't enough. How do you cope with all of it?

Lisa, it is great to hear from someone whose child is in the same division. It is hard to believe that you are going through this again!! And, so soon! Was it easier this time? I'll bet you have lots of wisdom that you can share. It looks like Chris and Grant will be graduating on 6/12 if nothing happens.
I want to hear Grant's voice so bad it hurts. The strange thing is, he actually called our house last Saturday, only 4 days after he left!! But, no one was home and he left a message on the answering machine. Why do you think he would have called so soon? Since then, I have had call forwarding added to our phone system and I have my cell phone with me always. I thought for sure I would hear from him this weekend but he hasn't called. BTW, I live in Clintwood, VA, which is about 50 miles SW of Bristol, VA/TN.

I have been searching for gals from DIV 140 this evening. My son Robert graduated today (3/13/09) and while I was in the NEX store, picking up souviners, DIV 140 and 141 came in. They were wandering around and there was this young lady looking at some trinkets. I never got her name, but her friend commented about how she misses wearing perfume. Anyways, As I made my final selection their RDT (??) yelled out.. DIV 140, make your final selections. If you are in line, get in front of DIV 141. Lets move. Well your daughter along with 3 others were in the longs lines trying to make their purchase (toiletries and things) I noticed they all had the same look on their face, I turned to the gals and said. Is that your group getting ready to leave - DIV 140. She smiled and said yea, So I stepped aside and let the gals get in front so they could get out and with their group right away. She looked great, she was smiling, and a very pleasant lady. I know its not much, but I thought you would like to know. If you know any other ladies in DIV 140 or 141, please pass this message on. It's not much but... they looked great!

Wew also received a call but I was at work my husband talked for about 20 minutes and he said the same thing how good it was to hear his voice we actually received the grad packet in the mail today!!! Just a few weeks and we will be able to see him
