Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To be patient, especially when my son is on tour. You can't just snap your fingers and get him on the line to speak with him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Karen, thank you for the welcome. I wish I knew about this support group 2 years ago when my son enlisted. It was very hard that first year that he was away but it has gotten better. At least I don't find myself crying and worrying about him too much. My son is the first to enlist in the military and I have to younger boys after him who are thinking about joining the military life as well. We shall see what becomes of that since my younger boys are still in elememtary and jr. high school. Thanks again for the welcome.

Hello & Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them (pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me.
So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you.
Sincerely, Catherine
