Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Listen before you say NO. and do your research, information is everywhere. Find a trustworthy recruiter, it makes all the difference.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hello & Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them (pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me.
So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you. :D
Sincerely, Catherine

Big hugs to you Laura. We will have to see if our boys know each other. Mine went to School in Fruita. He has been in for almost two years now and is in California and then towards the middle of the year will be going to Hawaii...lucky him :) He an AE. What job does your son do in the Navy? And where is he stationed? These forums are heaven sent, when our oldest Marine Vet) was in and went over to Iraq I did not belong to anything so I was very happy to find something when Jacob went it. It's nice to be with others who understand what you are going through.

Laura,
Where is your son in Texas? Clay was stationed at Ingleside (near Corpus Christi) for his first 2 years on the Devastator (mine sweeper).

Dear Laura,
How are you today? I'm fine. Four days we've had such nasty cold rainy days! YUK!
How does Josh like the Navy?

It's hard for other people to understamd how we feel. The answer I got would be " You knew what she was getting into". Who needs to hear that.
I'm just thankful to God, that my father isn't alive to know about Kim. He was extremly anti-Military, I would never hear the end of it, if he knew.

So far, Kim loves it, thank God for that. I hope and pray she feels the same way when she starts working on the ship!! HAHA!!

I', still asking questions myself!! HAHA!! Maybe you would know, I'm asking around this question. While in uniform, does a Sailor salute an Officer in uniform from another Military? Army, Marine, Air force.

Let me get going. My husband hogged the computer, so now I'm backlogged with my messages.
Take care and God bless.

Hi Laura
I leave in Cedaredge, My son Chance graduates from Boot Camp on Friday Nov 21st ( I can't wait). Just to able to talk to him again. Chance is getting sent to Charlston SC, he will be trained as a Nuc Engineer on the subs. He is going to get to come home for a few days the 2nd week in Dec, all my boys will be home at that time so we are going to have an early Christmas, it will be the best a houseful. Something to look forward to as the last 2 mounths have been pretty sad around here, although his last few letters have been pretty up beat, i will be better after i see him in Great Lakes.
I have really had some good help from people on this site since he left but i only joined the Colo group yesterday. It is nice to find someone close to home.
Write soon. Judi
