My daughter in law is still stuck in Washington. She has some work on her teeth the Navy is wanting her to finish before she can go. Today she had her wisdom teeth taken out. I feel sorry for her since she is all alone and having her wisdom teeth out and trying to take care of a 19 month old. I pray it all goes well for her. My grandbaby is 19 months old. it should be fun to watch her open christmas packages this year. Is Daniel going to sign back up after his first contract is over?
My son complained about the rain but just a few months ago he told me how much he liked Washington. He met a lot of nice young men up there that are MA's including many Marines. He is pretty excited about his next duty. Was your son working the other day when they had all the excitement? My son offically reenlisted that day so he was a little worried that it wasn't going to happen but he said it went like it was suppose to. Did your son know anyone from 2nd division? Lately I have been really struggling with tears that come when I think about my son moving across to the other side of the world. It was one thing to have him in another state but know another country. WOW
Yes I heard just today on the group page that Kaye had to cancel her trip but that her son was coming home on leave. I hope everything is ok for her. I'm glad also that your son is coming home for Thanksgiving. I also understand your sadness that he isn't going to take more time off but I do have a thimble sized insight to share. My daughter went through a bit of withdrawal from me after she got to WA and had settled in. I felt like I was really losing the closeness her and I had. I think it's something they go through. Maybe he feels if he's home for too long either he'll get bored or he might think it will be harder when he leaves. Catherine just told me the other day that she has decided to take leave when I am there visiting so her and I can spend all our time together!!! I am so happy - I think this trip will be so good for the two of us!!!! How is his job going? Could he be worried that if he is gone too long it might affect his work situation? I guess we just need to grab all the little bits of their lives that we can get now!! I miss all of my children now and I know you have a more intense empty nest sadness going on. I'm here for you if you just need someone to talk to!!! Wish you were closer to WA so I could get to see you when I'm up there. But we can keep in touch here. I'll try not to be a stranger once I get through with this season!!!!! Hugs to you!!!!!
So sorry you have missed me on the Bangor group. I always keep up with the posts on there but I started a part time seasonal job for Halloween so I've been working long hours on my feet all day (which I'm not used to so my ankles are killing me!!!) By the time I get home late at night I usually just read and then go to bed!!! Did I tell you that I'm coming out to WA in 2 weeks and three days!!!!!! I am visiting with my sailor daughter!!!!!! I will be there for 9 days!! I can't wait!!
