About me:
I am a single mom. I have two sons Keven and Andrew. Keven has been in the Navy for about 12 years now and Andrew is a music composer and is engaged to be married next year. I get lonesome sometimes because I had a close relationships with my sons. I think being able to chat and befriend other Navy moms will be good for me.
I am here to support or represent my:
Keven
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I have been a navy mom for 12 years and I had to learn how to let go and pray while I watched him mature and grow into a man.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Letitia. I haven't been on the site lately also. How have you been? I hope that your Christmas was wonderful. Liz couldn't come home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the mid of January. I'm going to leave the tree up with presents all around. I like the christmas color of your page. I hope that you got to spend time with your son. Even though you miss family members throughout the year, it hits the hardest when the holidays rolls around. Take care and have a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!

Hi Letitia, So happy to see you here. Yes Mike did get to come home for the holiday He was going to have leave starting on Dec 29, but he had to came home much early because my husband 101 grandmother passed away and the Red Cross got the Navy to let mike come home to see her before she passed, but because of flight cancels it took him 2 12 days to get here from San Diego and Nana passed one hour before he got home. Mike took it really hard. he was her only great grandson and they where very close. It was nice to have him home for a few days, he went back on Xmas day. He will get to come home just before they go out on the next deployment in 2009. I hope all is well with you. Did you have a nice Christmas?

Wow, your son Andrew has a music career?! That's awesome that he is so creative and living out his dreams like that. I will check out his page tomorrow as I'm about to pass out now at the keyboard. Thanks for the info, I will definitely check it out and give my thoughts on the song as I love almost all types of music. So the wedding may have to wait until 2010, huh. Love the colors they've picked.

Sorry to hear that Keven may not come home for the holidays but SD is not a bad place to visit. Can you pack me up and take me along with you? lol Take care, Sherry

Hi Letitia. It's tough getting back into the grind of things, but in two weeks we will have our Christmas break!! Yes, I have heard from Liz. Although it seems like I heard more from her when the ship was out to sea.(lol) Anyways, I am glad that you and your son talked. Take care and I will chat with you soon.

Hi Letitia, I am so sorry that I have not gotten back to you. I have been in such a depression over my living situation! I just feel numb. I know the Lord loves me, I know it with all my heart and I know he wants me to be joyful no matter what. But I feel lost and not sure what in the world to do. I want to move back to Florida to be near my daughter. Thanksgiving was hard here without my kids. My sisters family came, but so much drama. I just wanted to run as fast I as I could. I spent most of my days in my room in tears, just trying to hide from the drama. I really appreciate your prayers...and I need to do alittle more of that myself and open my ears to hear what the Lord wants me to do! I just don't have much strength left. Thanks for listening.
God Bless You, Cindy

Thanksgiving was very nice, especially since I had no cooking duties! lol My mom's former neighborhor (who has now adopted since my mom passed just a few months ago) invited me and my 2 kids over for dinner. My son and I went while my daughter PJ slowly primped for the next few hours and when little brother and I returned the princess was FINALLY ready to meet her fans. lol

They left and did more dinner hopping with our family, then gave me all the juicy gossip upon their return home later that night. PERFECT HOLIDAY!! No muss, no fuss. So glad to hear your son called you on the big day to say, "Hello mom, I love you!" That always melts our hearst, doesn't it?!

So your son Keven will be home for New Years and you will celebrate Christmas then. How wonderful. Have you figured out a gift for him? How is Andrew's wedding plans coming along? What are their colors for the wedding party? Well whatever the colors you will look stunning anyway.
