My son is on the USS Abraham Lincoln living on the base at Bremerton. Where are you located? This is very nice of you. So far I don't think he is doing anything and hope he can get together with someone. Thanks so much, Linda

Hi Linda, write to me at glory8@earthlink.net. That's my home email address. Is your son AO too?

Hi Linda,
your sailor will send you an email or a packet of materils after they are half thru with deployment. Also, the Penny Press, will have a link to tiger cruise information.
It will be at the end of their next deployment, sometime in 2011 I'd say.

I can't get your private email to respond...it comes back as an incorrect address.
Anyway...Linda...you have two more offers from more friends!
Sept 26 weekend, neighbors are driving a motorhome to Chelan and there is room for your son...They will drop him off in Leavenworth.
Also...Oct 9 weekend(Octoberfest) in Leavenworth, friends are going to attend that for the weekend...again...plenty of room for a sailor with them too!
Keep me posted...what can your son arrange for a weekend away?

Hi friend. Wow, was just thinking of you and wondering how your son was doing and then lo and behold, you pop up! Whether or not Storymoms friends can help next weekend, and especially if he has duty then, the following weekend, (18th and 19th) as you may have seen Susan post, we are playing host to some out of town N4Ms. I know them all well and have been chatting and making plans offline with them. One of the things that has come up on their 'would like to do' list is a trip over to Leavenworth. :-) If the weather is decent, I thought that would be a fun scenic day trip on Friday to show them some of the beauty of the Pacific NW. (They have to be back for the N4Ms dinner then that evening) I was going to call YOU and ask if you would be free to show us all around! LOL

So, talk to Shea, I still have to confirm that I can indeed make it over, and if that would work, let's try to set it up! I'll check with the others. One of these ladies is the head of our Adopt a Sailor Group (Susan is actively involved there too) and would love nothing better, in fact, nothing would give this whole group of ladies more joy than escorting a young Sailor home to his Mama!!! :D You let me know too! ((HUGS))

Linda...I may have a ride for your sailor NEXT FRiday. My friends are driving there for a reunion at the KOA campground...they want to leave at 5:30 pm on the 11th. Can this work out? Plenty of room they said in the car...no kids this time (2 are in college, the other is still in high school....our kids all went to school together...and we were in Scouts too)
LET ME KNOW...hopefully he doesn't have duty next weekend?

Hi Linda, you have to be a youth pastor, educator or administrator if my memory serves me right. I was nominated by my son's recruiter because I work in the office of our local high school. I went in the fall of 2008. I would check with your sons recruiter or a local recruiter to see if you qualify. Because of budget cuts this year the trip was canceled. I was also invited to a change of command ceremony this year because of having went on that trip. It was awesome to see. Hope this helps you.
