About me:
My name is Lisa and my daughter Alison will soon be a graduate of the corpman program in Chicago. She will be leaving for Italy for the next 2 years. My husband Barry, myself, her 16 year old sister Stephanie and 15 year old brother Zachary are very proud of her!

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
that accountability and structure was key for my daughter's survival and future.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Lisa... I was so happy when Jerm called and told me he has 18 days. Nothing like waiting till the last minute, was suppose to be on a plane to Italy that evening. I hope you are enjoying your time with Ali!!! I know they are in touch with each other and will enjoy time together in Italy.

Lisa.. Jerm said he will have till April 24th at home, so 14 days!!! His orders say he needs to be in Italy on the 27th. He is trying to come home right after graduation and spend as much time here as possible before leaving for 2years. I am so proud of the kids for what they have accomplished and in such a short time. Jerm wants to finish up his degree and apply to the nursing programs. He has about a year left and should be able to finish on base with classes on line. What does Ali want to do, has she given thought to school with her duty station??

Hi Lisa... Can you believe our Sailors will graduate this week, seems like yesterday I said goodbye to Jerm and he was heading off to boot camp. I have been trying to find out how long they get to come home before they head off to Italy. I was hoping they might get to leave after graduation on Friday, but Jerm can't confirm. I keep pushing him to find out where he will fly out of when he goes to Italy. We would like him to fly out of Seattle!!! But I guess the military will decide for us. When do you leave to go to graduation?? I love Ali's new pic on faebook!!!

Hey Lisa.. I guess Jerm will be in Naples and Ali will be in Sicily, they told me about 2 hours from each other. I think they plan on traveling a little if they have time. I hope we get to go see him while he is there, if we do we will make a point of visiting Ali also. I am so glad they have each other. And Jerm loves what he is doing, how about Ali??? And graduation is next week, can't believe they are about through. And thanks in advance for taking pics for me. Talk to you soon...
