Proud Momma

He wanted to go RECON - I hollered! When the message was sent for him and a friend the Navy said NO - we are keeping them. After my boy who grew up in the South - Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee spent a very cold winter (07/08) in Chi Town, he spent spring, summer and fall in Panama City Florida. Hey there lynne I just popped over here to see if you were online! I see you are not!! I really enjoyed our call together the other day, I'm so happy we (our group of navy moms) have soooo much in common, it's like when we are all talking, we are thinking the same thing and the one who talkes fastest gets our thoughts out first! Isn't that funny? Great minds think alike! LOL

hi,
i am new here. i was just reading some posts and i just havve to pop in and say that the islam faith is not peaceful. there are no peacefull islams. in their Bible, the quran, it specifically state tht to be a muslim, they have to kill, not harm, cause to stub a toe, ruin yor hairdo. kill. htat pretty much says it all for me.

You have raised some amazing young men. For both of them to choose the path they have in the Navy shows nerves of steel. All I can say is just take it one day at a time. Visiting Panama City sounds good. So what does your youngest say. Is he going Navy too?

Yes, it was a good trip. Beverly is a very friendly lady with a kind and considerate personality.

But she did do something on the trip home that was well.... ok, we stopped at Baskin & Robbins!! How did she know ice cream is my weakness?!

Praying your therapy is going well.

More therapy because it is slowly working or because it has not worked yet? Sure hope it is working and will take care of your problem. So glad you will be able to come to the Meet and Greet. I guess it will be a good opportunity for your Sailor to visit his friends or spend time with his brothers. (He could drop by and tell us N4Ms a story or two?!?)

I see that you have already found the latest info on the Meet & Greet. I am so looking forward to meeting more Navy moms. The understanding is so much greater among those that have been there, done that than it is among those that have no clue what you are talking about.

Have you gone back to work yet? Will you still be able to come Saturday? Sure hope so.

One of my younger brothers was a jump master with 78 jumps under his belt. He said that is what he misses now that he has retired after 23 years in the Army. You know it takes a special kind of person to do the job your son is training for and very few make it through the rigorous training? (I know, your mom heart is on your sleeve when it comes to your child!) I myself have the greatest amount of respect for those that put themselves in harms way like this. One thing I know about it, they are a tightknit group and they really do have each others back. Will keep him and you in my prayers.
