I just got word that Blake will be performing at you daughters graduation. He is in the honor guard, and he holds a rifle, if you happen to snap any photos please let me know!!! We have come so far...

- Happy Monday Mariab and Family! I'm just reading your note to me from last nite ~ keep your chin up and try to get busy with something today ..... it was really easy for me in those early days when my son left because my daughter was expecting her first baby - and now she's here so that helps A LOT :) Also, writing to him even when I didn't know an address yet really helped .... like keeping him posted on the Saints and LSU was a life saver. He even asked before he left that we send him the sports page articles on Saints, Holy Cross and LSU. Not the entire section,but just cut out articles. That really keeps him going and feels like he is "in touch" just a little bit. His first letter told us that the schedule is hard and that he gets homesick "it comes in waves" but he also said he had made an awesome bunch of new friends and that they are "helping each other through it" ----- THAT was the best news I could have read from him. Touched my soul, you know? If you ever would like to talk don't hesitate to call my office at 985 307 0601 - in Destrehan. I work for the maritime ministry of the archdiocese of new orleans.

- Hi Mariab :) Yes, Andrew did sound very well when we got to talk to him at length this past week. It was late afternoon when he called. He had about 30 minutes to talk he said. He said it's hard, but it's do - able! He said he really thought it would be more physical than it is and said there is a lot of study work. He even told me that he studies so much it makes him sick! You'd have to know him to get a kick out of that :) We didn't get a "real" letter from him until the end of the third week. You'll hear soon .... and when you do you will feel SO MUCH BETTER! Promise .....
