When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to expect the unexpected. To have patience. There is a reason for everything. And the sailors benefit from it all. I have seen much stonger individual who is actively pursuing goals he has set for himself and that makes me so proud.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Mary,
I am glad Jason is through the sickness he got, he was hospitalized for 5 days with pneumonia and complications with H1N1. He was in a civilian hospital and we had alot of problems with them not testing or treating for H1N1 till a few days into it when the DR was relieved and the new one tested and treated per their own policy. He is fine now but is pulled from his class with Dan and will be joining a class just before Thanksgiving where he left off. He may catch up with his original class waiting on prototype though.
Take care

Gday Mary, I say this because Hans' ship is still in Australia. Hans is planning on coming home in December. I know you enjoyed having Dan home. I understand Dan is now a Petty Office. Hans can take his Petty Officer test in September on the ship. Hope you have a good day.

Hi Mary, Hope that you had a great time having Dan home and got to spend much time with him! Seeing Jason was great what little time we got with him, anyway. His hours were changed while we were there so between him sleeping and working, time was at an essence. It is hot in Lemoore and not much to do there. But of my kids said the town was just like our town here at home BORING!!! :) We did alot of sightseeing thou. Yosemite was beautiful.
Hope that we will get together soon

Lucky dawg you! Bet Dan looked great! I bet it's sure nice seeing him at home again, but darn that feeling when they have to head out again! Sheesh it's such a roller coaster! I had a pretty good 4th, missing the guys, but the oldest will be home this coming weekend for a couple weeks too! Not sure how much I'll be seeing him, he has some river rafting planned with his high school and college friends, and then there is his fiance who I'm sure will be by his side constantly. But it is all good. I was feeling some of the empty nesting blues last week, but my husband kicked my butt and said "Get over it!" He does a great job distracting me! Brian the youngest is having some trouble with the math. They gave him what he called 25-4's. Apparently and extra 4 hours study time after school is out. I've been praying for him! Take care, talk to you soon!

Hi Mary, Hans' ship arrived yesterday night in Australia. They are in a beautiful area not far from the Great Barrier Reef. It makes me think of the kid's movie Finding Nemo when I think of the reef. Hope you have a great July 4 with Dan. We won't see Hans until sometime in December when he has leave. He said he will serve three years on the ship. What adventures he will have travelling the world.

Yay Mary! 16 days will be great for you! Brian called me Wed afternoon from his brother's cell phone! He said, "I'm here, don't worry, all is well!" Apparently he flew out that morning and just happened to run into his brother in a hallway after he got there. He said Andy's room is on the floor above his. It's amazing how things work out. It's reassuring they are both close. I hope neither one drives the other crazy, but I think they will be so busy that probably won't happen! Pre-congratulations to Dan, July 2 will be here soon! Who knows, maybe one day we might meet... take care, good luck to your son, talk to you soon!
