Not to worry. A couple of the boxes are stored in my spare bedroom - out of the way. Give me a call and we can meet up for you to pick them up. Have a Great Thanksgiving.

Lt. Hecht: Thank you for your thoughts and ideas. I will definitely give it some serious thought. I love the idea of donating my time at a local food bank. I am assuming this would be a homeless shelter of some sort. The military mom walk would a...

Lt.Hecht: I shall pass the information on to my fellow sisters. The response that I have heard from them from a couple of weeks ago was they were interested and excited to be involved. But, them, like me, were not sure how. I believe the Navy Mo...

In their infamous ways I would say "yes" why, only they know. I too think it is frustrating because I can't go back without hitting every page. Sorry Navy - don't like the new system of paging.

Lt. Hecht: I personally would love to volunteer. I know you spoke with Diane, the Central Florida Chapter Mom, she called me a couple of weeks ago and informed me about your inquiry and once we complete our latest mission, our Afghanistan Seabees...

Hey Mary,
I was just on the Ramada website and they offer a NAVAL GRADUATION MEET AND GREET. I am just not sure how to get the word out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Are you a Florida Mom?

Hey Mary: No, we're originally from Minnesota (therefore Yankee's)!!! I'm sure you won't have any trouble filling the bunker!!! The last several years we were in FL for either Thanksgiving or Christmas as that's where most of my husband's family lives....Sarasota, Ocala, Flagler Beach and Cape Canaveral....and our sailor had shore duty for three years at Kings Bay, GA!!! I'll be able to post pics of HI and the Crommelin guys/gals when in HI!!

Mary, regarding LBHS and a banner, you probably have to go straight to Mary Williams the principal, she has a tight grip on that school & nothing gets done without her O.K. first. Good Luck!!

Mary: I just went onto the Adopt a Sailor page and saw your response to auntnotamom....it was perfect. I deleted what I had written, since I wasn't as intuitive as you are, my response seemed out of place. Thanks a million!!!

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
It's a great country we live in and despite my original disapproval (more like shock) my son has done what he was taught his whole life - to be his own man. As a parent/veteran I am very proud of him and always have been, BUT as a MOM, I am scared for his safety as any mom would and should be. I love him dearly and pray every day that God will keep him safe. He is my baby boy and always will be my baby boy - no matter how much of a man he looks like in uniform (LOL) and don't think I don't remind him of that all the time (ha ha)

There was one for every sailor on board. When one of the moms was getting ready to mail them in the mor… Continue
