Hi Mary Beth,

I thought I should start connecting with the other moms from our group and plan a mid March get together at Nello's again. Nello's Diner in Royal Oak on Woodward Ave just North of 696 highway.

Personally I'm stretched a little too far this month to do it plus I think spring would be more agreeable for all. Let me know how you feel about Saturday morning, March 14 or 21st.

Hi Mary Beth - just wondering if you'll be heading to PIR on the 15th? There's a group for this PIR date - go to groups and it's the top one...

I'm staying @ Navy Lodge, it's just me and the girlfriend traveling, it would have cost too much for all 4 of us to go.

Hello Mary Beth, just stopped by to love on you and Jessica. Yeah, it's a bit rough those first 8 weeks not being able to talk to your child but trust me it's nothing like not being able to talk with them for 8 months. My son just made it safely back from Iraq and I fasted for 30 days. Sick to death. But all is well now. Happy Holidays to you and your family. I will keep you lifted in pray. Please let Jessica know that we appreciate her and her service to our country. God bless you all.

Hi Mary Beth,
I also cried when I got James' Clothes. then the waiting starten for the 1st letter. It came after 2 week of boot camp. It was what put my mind at ease, the 2nd line said "Boot camp is fun and the food isn't bad I gained 5 pounds." LOL after that I knew he was going to be just fine.

Mary Beth-
As you can see by your Comment Wall this is the place for Love & Support. I live in Highland Township, my son left in Sept. and turns 18 today. It's tough to let go. I cried on and off -day and night for a week. It will get better, I promise you. When you attend her PIR your heart will just about burst with love and pride. If you want to email me feel free. TR719@comcast.net. This website will help you get through. Try the Boot Camp Forum you are certainly not alone. Thank your daughter for all of us, we appreciate her service to our country.

Day 4

Received Jessica' box of clothes today FedEx; cried when I got it, but I am feeling much better with each day. Jessica did write in one of the journals, at the airport that she was scared and tired but said she was excited. Thanks again for all the support from the N4M's members.

1st Night Boot Camp

I didn't sleep at all last night and I am in the comfort of my own home. I cried a lot thinking that she probably was to. I'm hopeful that she was able to sleep if even for a short time. I'm sure here thoughts were racing through her head as mine were. This is a very difficult time. I miss her.
